I've been waiting for this, and it's out today

The biggest perks:

--Livestreaming through Youtube now (instead of Twitch/Ustream; not sure if Youtube will save the streams though)
--Ability to upload video clips (up to 10 seconds) directly to Twitter
--You can create "favorites" groups for your friends list, so you can put your COD/BF clan members in a group, NDL guys in a group, FIFA/Madden, etc
--Dedicated section for Playstation Plus to find your new games instantly

And then you have the Events app

A new Events app has been added to PS4, accessible from the home screen. This will give you an overview of activities taking place in the games you play most, as well as official broadcasts.

For instance, this week we have a double XP racing event in Driveclub and a Team of the Week Event in FIFA 16, you can register directly from the Events app. Once registered you can utilise the auto-boot functionality to set your PS4 to automatically turn on and launch the game and Event at the Event start time. Stay tuned for new gaming events and broadcasts.

I'm about to play a friend on Madden in 5-10 minutes. I've never broadcasted but i set it up after I read this thread just for the heck of it, so i'm broadcasting now on http://www.youtube.com/shel311.

I tried and it wouldn't connect to the server.

Shel, did it save the video to your account? That's what I'm most curious about w the Youtube streaming

His stream looked good on my phone through youtube.
I watched a little of his game.

As long as it saves it, which, I am guessing youtube will do, then it is nice to have that option and I like it more than the other two since youtube seems more universal.

And shel stated the way it worked, it made his game screen just slightly smaller and he could see us chatting down the right hand side of his screen while playing.
I like that too.
But he had to use a phone or laptop to respond.

It wasn't a pop up, it makes the screen so you can see chat window on down the right side.
I like it personally to be able to see what people are saying while you are playing.

Yeah, I know. If it's like Twitch/Ustream, it's a bar on the right and bottom where you see your avatar, people watching, comments, etc. There's a box you can check mark to turn that on/off. I usually leave it off because I need the screen as big as I can get it

Whoa....no, what I'm used to is much smaller than that. I could never play like that, the actual gameplay screen is tiny!

I think that's what the people watching see, not the people playing

How do you do this?

I streamed through YouTube last night. Granted I didn't try very hard, but I couldn't figure out how to turn the chat off showing on the right side of the screen.

Mine connected very slowly, i backed out once, but a 2nd time i let it sit there and it finally connected.

And I just went to my YouTube page, yes it did save the broadcast. Had no idea it would do that, pretty cool.

The chat box is way smaller than that pic above, fwiw.

You still basically see your game full screen, there's just a box going down the right side, pretty small.

I have never seen a chat while playing.
If I did, I don't remember turning it off.

And yeah shel, that is what I saw on my phone was basically full screen with a skinny chat window down the right side.
It was also different from the pic I posted.

Would be cool to turn it off, but as you can see, it's not that big of a deal as you still have lots of screen to work with.

Also If you are using a mic and not in a chat party and get comments you can use the audio features to see them.

Example.

1st say - Playstaton
2nd say - Show comments

Brings up the comments and then you can respond t them via the headset, Much easier IMO

Great, thanks! I remember seeing the broadcast settings when I hit Share to end the broadcast, should be an easy fix, i just didnt know it was an option since this was my first time sharing.
