NDL Ryder Cup Information

Okay, I'm working off the assumption that we will have 16 and once Baker is back from his trip, he will talk to wwf, and Jake will want in too. That makes it a perfect 8 vs. 8.

The NDL Ryder Cup will consist of 5 sessions as shown below:

All matches are Match Play. If you win the match, you get 1 point, a loss gives you zero and we will have ties worth .5 for each team. We will use the league settings for all sessions.

Session 1: Alternate Shot, 4 Total Points Available
- There will be 4 matches, all worth 1 point. It will consist of 2 man teams playing alternate shot.

Session 2: Fourball, 4 Total Points Available
- There will be 4 matches, all worth 1 point. It will consist of 2 man teams playing fourball. Fourball is when all 4 people play the hole with their own ball and you take the best from each 2 man team.

Session 3: Same as Session 1

Session 4: Same as Session 2

Session 5: Singles, 8 Total Points Availabe
- There will be 8 matches, all worth 1 point. It will consist of 8 singled matches.

There is a grand total of 24 points, so the first team that gets to 12.5 is the winner.

As noted before, let's have Nasty and Riccio be the captains. I don't care how you guys decide on who picks first, but the draft will be a snake style draft. So whoever goes first, takes 1 guy and then the other captain takes 2, the first guy then takes 2 etc., until we have our 2 teams of 8. If you want to post the draft as you do it, that is fine, if you want do to if offline and just post the teams of 8, that is fine too, it doesn't matter to me.

The way the real Ryder Cup works as far as pairings is it is a blind draw. Both captains place there teams in order from 1 to 4 and then they are revealed. For now, let's just let Corey and Dave pick the teams and then we can work out the pairings and the course(s) to use from there.
