Posted my two best rounds yet, -10 and -11. Eagled hole 16 on my second round from about 120 yds out. Still cant get to any of the par 5s to try for any eagles, but was able to hole-out a few times around the green between the two rounds to save some strokes

In the clubhouse at -40. Embarrassing -6 in the final round. Hit the hole on my second shot on the first hole it careened out landed behind the green. I bogeyed and never really recovered, just had bad luck on putts the rest of the round.

Despite me being on pace for right around the same, that is such an imposing looking number

I'm just really good at pebble. Disappointed I didn't throw a -17 or -18 up on the board.

Ended up falling off the pace. Missed a lot of 15-20 ft birdie putts that I was making the first two rounds. Although I had only 1 bogie the entire tournament, which is really good for me

Didn't follow the discussion of the difficulty very closely, but are we going to slowly be adjusting the swing parameters as we go along so we're not ending up with tournaments all year with people shooting -60?

As I understand he has made it easier in the early stages until guys to get their players ratings up

Yes, just hearing about these scores makes me think they were too easy to begin with. I'll slowly ramp up the difficulties as well as the course conditions.

Just my opinion, but guys are more likely to drop out I they are shooting over par than under. I would say just leave it and let everyone get some practice in and see how competitive the scores get. If you change it midway, just gonna start guys' learning curves over and you are back to where you started. I'll play regardless. like I said, just my opinion.

I'm hoping for the same then as we both have been the bottom feeders of our daily tourneys so far.

You are probably right. I planned on mixing up the course conditions a bit which I can still do for variety but will probably keep the difficulty the same throughout our season 1 and then revisit it after that.

I play a lot of the live tournament level tournies. I still can't figure out how to hit the ball straight. Some days I sneak under par but most I finish above par with 2 to 3 blow ups.

I'm pretty sure I said this last year, but to me, the easier the better. It is a lot more fun to me when it is competitive. I don't care if it has to be by everyone shooting around par or closer to -16 or -17. I've been playing this game for years and the best way, in my experience, to make it competitive is to make it pretty easy on everyone.

THIS!

We ran a bunch of people off when we made it too hard last time. I didn't enjoy the game anymore and stopped playing when we made it too difficult last season.

I started out on a tear the first two rounds; then I made the mistake of watching the title game.

Was frustrated and went to play the last two rounds, missed so many gimme putts and harder putts, ones I made the first two rounds. Also hit a few balls out of bounds (hit them too long) and misjudged the wind on a few.

That said, I had an eagle all four rounds on the 18th hole. I take pride in that :D
