Boston
Boston
Don't need info on any tourist stuff as I'll be freezing my ass off during Christmas (my family wants me to go there instead of them visiting me... beyond stupid). I want to know what food places I should go to? does boston have any well known food places/challenges and stuff?

Re: Boston
Look for a "husky" guy eating a Stromboli in the north end wearing a Jordan lynch jersey that looks 4 sizes to small.
Re: Boston
fun fact: boston is more north than Toronto,,
come to Toronto while youre n boston, its like an hour flight.

Re: Boston
seeing as I don't even own winter clothing, I plan on staying inside as much as possible and just getting food delivered for the 4 days I am there.

Re: Boston
On my way to Boston now....My President and I are pitching to the Facilities Group of Fenway tomorrow. Lucky for us there is a game tonight so I think we are going to check it out. I'd love to hit Boston Beer Worx but i doubt thats going to be possible on a game day.
Anyone have any reccomendations for places near the Financial District or Boston Commons? I love me some Gastro Pubs so those wil ltake priority over the rest of the items....GO!

Re: Boston
Beer Works near Fenway will be jammed, but there is another one over by the TD Garden on Canal Street. The Porter that they have there is killer.
How long are you in town for?

I saw a place called Stoddart http://www.stoddardsfoodandale.com every heard of this place.
Re: Boston
I have not been there, but a friend of mine has. He said it reminds him of a speakeasy you would see on TV and is a bit ecclectic, but they do have a good variety of beer.

Sold..... plus it looks like I can take the rail from there instead of a cab to Fenway which I imagine on game days is going to be murder.

Yup, little rain this morning but otherwise its been great.
I went to http://jmcurleyboston.com/ in the Theater District.
Great food - they have weekly specials that are not on the board. I had a roast beef burger. It was a burger patty topped with roast beef. fresh horserasdish, white queso, and a mustard dijon style sauce. It was ridiculous.
Awesome beer selection - several DogFish head beers and a wide variety of styles with lots of selection. If I wansnt planning on making the game I would of just chilled there.
Cool atmosphere - typical Gastropub kind of feel. Knowledgable bartenders and great chefs.
If it werent for the fact that i had a 1:30 flight I would of gone back for lunch. That good of a place.
Sayed at Boston Park Plaza Hotel - was nice enough. Luckily it was paid by the company. Id rather spend the money on a different more modern hotel but in Boston thats hard to find. Rooms are small but nice "enough".
I have a feeling we will get this deal with Fenway so I should be back to Boston in the near future.
