Interesting Stats...IMO

Post by Wasted Memory »

Was just perusing through the player stats and ran across some interesting figures:

Kirby Van Der Kamp (P) ISU 1 Completion 1 Attempt 99 Yards 1 TD 1261.6 QB Rating

At the exact opposite of the spectrum is Morgan Newton with a -59 QB Rating.

At first look I saw that Chase Retting (QB) BC had 103 completions with 42 INT's. If factored in that would be 29% of his passes to the other team. But then I saw Zack Maynard ---- 33% (74/36)

DeAnthony Arnett (WR) MSU had 12 TD's....and 24 receptions! But wait....same team - Juwaun Caesar (WR) 5 TDs and 10 receptions. A quick look showed only Kevin Norwood (WR) Bama with a better % at 10 TD's and 16 receptions.

WIth all of them doing so well, I'd probably have to quit throwing to this guy - Jacob Younger (WR) FIU 12 Receptions and 12 Drops.

Defensively....Wow, Willie Scott (DE) ISU. Almost half his tackles were sacks (57 & 25). 67% of his tackles were for a loss...time to avoid that side of ISU's D Line.

I'm sure someone will come in here and do the "yeah, but" thing. ;) Just looking at some stats and thought these were interesting.

"The Bell Dozer" Blake Bell is tied with Oregon QB Bryan Bennett for most rushing scores by a QB with eight, but did it on just 16 carries. Half his rushes were scores.

His longest rushing score was 25 yards as well, so it wasn't all one yard TD's.
