Ok, we are ready to go and are open for business. Please make sure you read the following or at least the headlines on the yahoo site.

FREE AGENT SIGNINGS:
Due to the wonderful Yahoo Fantasy settings, I can not lock the free agents. The only players that you are able to sign are ones on your protected list. ***ALL OTHER PLAYER SIGNINGS WILL BE DELETED*** (you may lose your rights to signing this first week if you break this rule)

To make another waiver claim, please do the following:
1. E-mail me your team name, and any requests and cuts that you would like to make to bobsledjoe@gmail.com (title the e-mail Waiver Claim, so that I don't open it, until the proper time)
2. You must do this before Wednesday at 10 PM EST
3. I will award players according to the waiver priority list (same as the draft order) on Wednesday night.

PROTECTED LIST:
The following players are protected and may not be picked up by anyone else then the team that has rights to the player. ***After week 1 has completed, these players are open game***

I just read this rule and it is very gay of Yahoo. So delete all my signings I made and do whatever you have to do if you want to penalize me.

I wont be making any pickups for the rest of this year.`Because I am available during the weekend but not the week. Therefore I am punished for being busy and having a life during the week. So I cant pick up any players.

I think you can make pickups during the weekend. Just email Ice sunday night who you want, then you find out if you get them by Wednesday, if I understand the rules right.

these waiver rules were setup last season. We had guys on the east coast waking up first and picking up whomever they wanted. All leagues have waiver process and don't allow teams to make pickups at any time. Since this yahoo league doesnt have the waiver claim setup ICE set up this process last season.

Ive tried to pick up a defense 3 times to be denied. Just silly rules for trying to get a damn defense on my team.

You can place a waiver claim for a defense. All 'protected list' players come off that list tomorrow after the waiver claims are posted.

Holmey suggested that I just lock everyone's ability to add/drop on Sunday morning and unlock it after the waiver wire process ends on Tuesday. Any body have any feeling on this?

I agree with this. Makes it easier to tell when and if you are able to pick up someone. I picked up like 3 people and then they were gone because Im a fool and didnt know better.

I just want a damn defense!! It cost me a win my first week this silliness.

I didnt even "blow" up and I didnt even ask you to change the rule...I ask you why we have this rule and why hasnt the league voted on it. Yet you lock me from doing anything. This is a joke..no wonder we havent gotten any updates in the big 10...you just dont give a shit do you.

Please let the league know about our conversation and how you handled the conversation.

i use the locking feature when my leagues get into the playoffs.

i am not in this league either. But it seems like you are making tons of work for yourself. What we do is just limit the total # of moves for each team for the whole year. You can pick guys up on Sunday/during games too. Just cant pick them up in exchange for someone who started for you on Sunday.

If you limit the total moves to like 15-20, then you dont have to lock teams and whatnot. Then it wont matter what coast anyone lives on. just less maintenance.

The rules have been posted and they are clear, there should be no need to lock everything I would think come Sunday morning as that could cause more problems than it fixes. Only way it works is if you wait to lock it till the moment of kickoff on Sunday. Ice is doing a fine job here, and last season was great as well. Fiesty you need to relaxed, you made a mistake, well all do. Be a man about it, learn from it and move on.

The only reason I was being an "ass" was because my fruitless attempts to illegally pick up someone...i then told him to freeze me from PICKING UP players...not locked out for sending emails posting comments or doing my lineup for the weeks.

Do whatever ICE. I won't be in next years league, but let me finish this season. I will be taking a hiatus from the boards.
