Does that rule still apply since any receivers that are not outside the tackles/TE when the ball is snapped become blockers, not receivers?MOTION -- You MAY motion all offensive players: TE, WR, HB, and FB. HOWEVER, ONCE across and ONCE back is sufficient to determine the coverage and to put the motioned player in the position you want. DO NOT ABUSE MOTION. ANY PLAYER in motion MUST CLEAR THE TACKLES AND BE *SET* BEFORE THE SNAP.

When I motion, I run the complete opposite way. I am just trying toget myself as much space as possible. FUck useless blockers

Duly noted. Unless you're attempting to use the old "I know he knows that I know that he knows" trick on me. But since it's you... duly noted.nick wrote:When I motion, I run the complete opposite way. I am just trying toget myself as much space as possible. FUck useless blockers

I'm counting down the hours. I'm even doing a dance to hopefully speed up time. Kinda like the natives and their sun dances, this is the time dance. Plus a good workoutLetsGoPeay wrote:Duly noted. Re: Motion Rule
There are also plays that auto-motion and auto-snap before a player clears the offensive line.
There really seems to be very little that is "fishy" in the game anymore. At least I haven't heard of "nano-blitzs" any more, or weird stacking of the linebackers, or strange running plays.

Re: Motion Rule
With as much bump and run coverage that guys call, I think this rule should be revisited. I have played in leagues that have never banned motioning and snapping while still in motion and it isn't the same as it used to be. If they are behind the line, they block, they don't squirt out like they used to and nobody covers them. Plus, sometimes just having the auto-motion plays they don't go where you want them to. Just my opinion.

i MOTION this rule be thrown out.
Re: Motion Rule
but then I motion back and see that the NDL is running a zone defense for this type of position, so I stay with my original deep post, incompletenick wrote:i MOTION this rule be thrown out.

Re: Motion Rule
I think it is more for running plays. if you motion a WR to the hole you are going to the hole is gigantic as it adds a(nother) lead blocker.

Re: Motion Rule
I had a guy this season motion his wr and snapped the ball while said wide out was still in motion outside the tackle box. He throws the ball to the wide out and runs untouched for a touchdown. Never seen that play in this game. No way my defense had a chance to make a play.

Re: Motion Rule
That is verified cheese and it's been seen and documented in East room games. You should have hammered him on his reports for that.beercop wrote:I had a guy this season motion his wr and snapped the ball while said wide out was still in motion outside the tackle box. My favorite is the hb motion and hiking before he is set and throwing to him immediately in the flat. Good for at least 11 a pop

Re: Motion Rule
i don't remember motion, but there has to be a glitch with a WR screen pass where as soon as the WR catches it he's already in a full run while the defenders are still trying to figure out what's happening.beercop wrote:I had a guy this season motion his wr and snapped the ball while said wide out was still in motion outside the tackle box. It was run against me at least once in each of the seasons and I don't fault the coach for it, but it's some sort of bubble screen where the receiver just runs like a gazelle when he catches it by the defenders for a TD

Re: Motion Rule
With this being discussed a little more what are your thoughts on this?
Opponent highlights a receiver, receiver goes in motion doesn't get set and the ball is snapped. After discussing, the play was an auto-motion play BUT THERE IS NO WAY FOR ME TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE. Your thoughts?
