NFL Week 2 Thread

Post by shel311 »

Don't think we have one.

Just wanted to say rules are dumb lol.

Beard 3rd down, Cutler gets hit right after he throws, and a 15 yard penalty is called for reasons I still don't know.

According to the play by play guy, officials say the penalty was for Harper landing on Cutler with the full weight of his body LOL.

Of course the Bears score a TD.

Lame.

It got worse lol.

I normally hate when officials call late hits on guys going out of bounds, but the Saints WR was a good 3 yard out of bounds when a Bears guy hit him. No call.

Saints literally called a timeout just so Payton could yell at the officials more.

Good start here.

Did you see the replay?

The one guy hit him right as his foot touched out of bounds, no big deal.

but the guy behind that Bears guy came in and hit him after he took another step, almost past the white part of the out of bounds line, wayyy out of bounds lol.

At any rate, moving on.

It's uncanny how bad the Saints are in short yardage.

Worst in the NFL last year.

COuldn't get it done against GB from the 1 last week.

2 field goals today, both came from 3rd and 1 redzone plays where we couldn't convert.

As serviceable as Sean Hill and Drew Stanton were last season filling in, Matt Stafford makes 4-5 throws a game that neither of those guys can even think of trying. The dude can sling it

Lions look good. Defensive line gets pressure, secondary capitalizes on mistakes (two interceptions in the first half), a healthy Stafford is zinging passes to a slew of good receivers and tight ends.

Finish this game and 2-0 with 14 games left puts you in great position to live up to expectations this year.

Vanden Bosch forces a fumble, Detroit recovers. Lions might flirt with 50 today.

Jimmy Graham literally just killed Major Wright.

And before you say anything Trendon, Wright hasn't budged since he got hit, so you never know.

Back to back KC fumbles sets up Lions in the red zone. Detroit now has 27 points off of 5 KC turnovers. 41-3 drubbing.

Suh chases Cassel and he tosses Kansas City's sixth turnover of the game. This defensive line is fun to watch!
