Welcome to the playoffs! The first season of NDL Hoops was a major success and the playoffs have arrived.

The Match-ups:

In the East:
#1 Atlanta (Daw1git) vs #8 Boston (krgkmg)
Atlanta won previous match-up 82-73
-The #1 seed out east is more vulnerable then his counterpart out west, but Atlanta shouldn't be threatened by the sub .500 Boston team that barely took home the 8 seed.
Prediction: Atlanta in 2

#4 Washington (VT) vs #5 Orlando (ajalves)
Washington won previous matuch-up 66-55
Neither team is coming into the playoffs on a hot streak but this 4-5 match-up is a pretty good one. I don't think AJ has the defense to stick with VT though.
Prediction: Washington in 3

#2 NY (driccio) vs #7 Philly (juicyj)
New York won previous match-up 77-55
Driccio lead the Knicks to a great season and was rewarded with the 2 seed, he had no problems with Philly during the season, and I wouldn't expect any here either.
Prediction: New York in 2

#3 Detroit (jsense) vs #6 Toronto (Harder)
Toronto won previous match-up 54-51
Harder took over Toronto late in the season and has created some late magic with them, coupled with a weak 3 seed in Detroit and I think an upset is brewing
Prediction: Toronto in 2


In the West:
#1 Houston (hugme) vs #8 Phoenix (Jeffdaddy)
Houston won previous match-ups 76-66, 84-64
Hugme is the juggernaut of the NDL:H league. He crushed Jeffdaddy in their two previous meetings and should in the next two as well
Prediction: Houston in 2

#4 New Orleans (shel) vs #5 Portland (Talented)
New Orleans won previous match-ups 67-65, 82-75
Shel won two hard fought games in this contest vs Talented, and took home the 2nd best record in the league. Talented may have gotten screwed in this matchup by some accounts but I actually like him to pull the biggest upset of the first round
Prediction: Portland in 3

#2 Oklahoma City (dealer) vs #7 Memphis (mgr)
Oklahoma City won previous match-up 69-60
Dealer should have no problem with a Memphis team that struggled down the stretch and limped into the playoffs.
Prediction: Oklahoma City in 2

#3 Sacramento (VVV) vs #6 Denver (Steamrollr)
Split season series 61-76, 86-69
This will be the most hotly contested match-up of the first round. They split the season series and this one could go either way. Identical records, it is VVV's offense vs Steamrollr's defense. Going with VVV based on home court alone.
Prediction: Sacramento in 3

there are some AWESOME matchups brewing for this playoff.

hopefully all this shit goes smooth and we can get it going ASAP.

i originally thought the conference finals were a lock for certain teams but after looking at the matchups and how teams have been playing, i think there is some potentially big upsets brewing.
