Underdogs OD
OK, starting a fresh thread here for the new game. An OD with a little bit of a twist...
Here's the deal: everyone starts off with a 1-star prestige team. You goal is to build up your team to the highest prestige possible, along the way you build up the recruiting and possibly get your team into a BCS conference to have a shot at the BCS national title. (now we can adjust conference online) This is the overall goal of this OD.
However, just in case you don't like your sub-par team, there are ways to move out of a bad situation by doing just enough to move up a prestige level with another team. If you have a coaching dream to take Texas all the way, you have to prove yourself by taking the lower prestige teams to their own conference glory to top 10 ranking. At the end of each season, every coach will be assessed and offered opportunities. Hopefully this encourages guys to stick with us for the entire year of this game.
Here is how you can change teams:
1. Moving into a new conference (not sure if I can even edit conferences once the OD has started, will be trial and error. However, if it does it by itself or if I can, I will base this off of simming to the off-season offline. This most likely won't happen this season)
2. Changing teams (depending on your success)
*You may change teams to any other 1-star school any season
*If your prestige went up to 2-stars, you may change teams to any other 2-star school that season
*If you completed the following:
-Winning record
-Won your conference/Won bowl game
then you may change teams to a 3-star program.
We advance every MWF night. All prior coaches can come back if they wish, I will then add those on the waiting list once they let me know if they are in or not. I will list what teams are available once the game comes out.

Re: Underdogs OD
Now that we're getting going with a new game, I'd like back in, but only if I can get in from the ground floor!

Count me in. Hopefully there will be enough 1* teams to go around.
Re: Underdogs OD
If there are not enough, then I will allow 2 star teams.texasfan4444 wrote:Count me in. Hopefully there will be enough 1* teams to go around.

We are full with 12 members. I will try and list teams tonight. Also, I will try to get the dynasty set up shortly after we get rosters.

Re: Underdogs OD
We should also vote on level of play and what level of recruiting we want to do before it starts up.

Re: Underdogs OD
Well I assumed we would play at the level the NDL decides to go with, unless you really rather do something different. I have only played the game for about 30 min. so I don't know if there is a difference or not on what level.outlaw wrote:We should also vote on level of play and what level of recruiting we want to do before it starts up.
What do you mean about the level of recruiting?

Re: Underdogs OD
On second thought I need to stick with a slower moving OD. Go ahead and drop me. Thanks.

Re: Underdogs OD
Recruiting has it's own level this year it goes from Varsity to Heisman and it makes the recruiting tougher or easier based on what you have it set on.If it is set to Varsity it will be very easy to grab 5* players with any team if it is on Heisman it will be almost impossible to get 5* guys with small teams.I think that you can change it anytime so maybe start off on AA and then bump it up if needed.

Re: Underdogs OD
I think we need to wait to actually start it up so we can get the settings right and have rosters. I have only played a half so far and got a long way to go
