Assuming the game does it like STATS, the statistic is only triggered when their is an outcome. the outcomes we're seeing in the stats are #2 but as a whole there are countless at bats on a 3-0 that don't end there. if its a strike on 3-0 there is not outcome so it wouldn't be reflected in the stats.
