I'm just looking for the logic behind playing Madden and not NCAA. Then again, I often foolishly look for logic when there is none to be found.

And yes.

NCAA lasts more than 2 weeks. There is the logic. :)

Had high hopes for this. Still hoping they get some patches to fix it, because this game is completely (and i hate this term but i can't think of another) broken right now. From the ground up it is flawed. I waited until after the connections issues got decently resolved to get it. I've put in 70 hours this week. The traffic is horribly broken and there is no way to combat it. Example: if there is a crime/fire, every cop car/fire truck tries to get to it. Buses crowd up the street, streetcars don't help very much either. Compared to past versions, city boundaries are much smaller; cop and fire coverage is extremely limited; user built plants, shipping buildings and HQs take up huge amounts of space. The numbers just don't add up, everything (power, police, fire, water, etc.) to keep up with your cities needs are so expensive to operate, that taxes/revenue from resources and special products are almost never enough to make money. The population count is screwy. Tourists are too difficult to attract. Casinos are useless money pits. Building Great Works will bring your city to its knees because the way it counts the resources you send it is screwed up with the servers still. have quit playing until they start patching. I'll update with a post patch review. Overall score: 5/10

the CEO of EA stepped down, partly (some say mostly) because of the SimCity disaster.

I've never had one iota of interest in this game, but I am interested in some details on with this disaster was.

the way I understand it the "disaster" stemmed from user needing to be online 100% of the time to play it. There were no 2 ways about it

thats the basic problem. I dont know the details beyond that

Why anyone in their right mind would decide to make a distinctly solo player game like SimCity only run online is insane. Make it have an online component? Fine. Online only? Unless you're building an MMO, you should definitely stay away from this.

I have a tough time understanding the interest in this game. I have a 1 million times tougher time understanding why you would want to play this game offline.

you have a hard time understand the interest in a simulator when one of your biggest hobbies is to play a baseball simulator?

that seems odd to me.

I liked playing Age of Empires and command and conquer are there any titles like this on PS3 or Xbox? or are they still strictly for the PC?
