Not sure if it's so but the way I remember it, Bear found Cyborg in free agency as an 80 potential dude. He signed him and stashed him in AAA. But the funny thing was that somehow not 1 other person so that blue potential epic SP in free agency. What a coincidence!!

I wish we could still see his History page, with that funky comment on it, it was pretty obvious something was up.

that's basically what he said. He drafted him in 2012 or something, released or didn't sign, because, you know... garbage... Trendon sent him back to school to hope he'd get better (like he did with a lot of players). He came out again, wasn't drafted by anyone. Was conveniently signed as a FA by Bear because of his "potential" that NO ONE saw, and then he blows up. When he blows up and people notice, bear says "well I haven't simmed in like 2 weeks, so it couldn't have been silly old me!"

Yep. You're right. We had a unanimous vote and we're all just mad about it later.

I couldn't find where the decision was made to keep him around, but it basically was rooted in the fact that Reign/Corey/JD hadn't yet taken over or knew enough to know what happened, and no one had the balls (myself included) to call Bear out any further than the passive aggressive jabs that Shel, Dave, myself and a few others threw.

In this same time frame, David Aria (also ended up with Bear) was created and made immortal minus a bunch of wild pitches. So it's not like this was a one time, isolated incident.

Also, we've never seen anything like it since Bear left. Coincidence? Nah...

His numbers say HOF, because he was literally PERFECT in 2 or 3 categories because he was edited. Not like 80/80, think 125 stuff etc. Back end ratings edited heavily

apparently, winning NDLB was like the only sports related championship Bear had ever experienced so it was kind of a big deal to him to win. I guess the power got to be too much.
