The receivers "lighting up" is crap. I find it more annoying than anything else and half the time even if you hit a guy as soon as he "lights up" the ball will still get knocked down.

Is there a way to turn off all the gimmicks and just play football?

Is the "light up" supposed to be when the receiver is open or when he is looking and ready to catch a ball?

That's what I was thinking, but I've seen a few guys elude to it being when he's open, so I wasn't sure which was correct.

I honestly havent even payed attention to this. I know the routes and where the open window is going to be, so theyre always looking when I throw it (at least I think they are, I mean theyre catching the damn thing)

Played dee dub on hesiman Bama vs Mizzou but the rest of my games so far have been vs mike using USC and Oklahoma on AA. Mizzou had a tough go of it. First pass was pick 6. Just curious if anybody has tried lower teams and how the game plays for them.

Since Mr. Washington has shit accuracy I was testing his accuracy vs. 90+ accuracy and I must say, I actually threw more picks with the higher accuracy guy... probably because I was trying too hard. Definitely an adjustment to the game in general though. Zone is kinda blah, but then again so is man if you call bad plays. There's also a noticeable difference in O-line ratings. The new catch animations make bubble screens usable which is a first for me, so I can appreciate that.

I haven't had any issues causing fumbles, but I dont' strip, i just smack the crap out of people. Did strip the QB once though.

I've seen linebackers snatch a pass out of the air, but it looked realistic and i was throwing a bullet, so I can't complain. Overall seems like it'll be a fun game this year. I'll have to check heisman, only got to play an hour on my free game trial.

I played against Johnny last night with Keith Price (93 THA) and Washington and I couldn't miss. I was throwing passes right at his defenders heads unbuckling chin straps and was still coming up with catches.

Played dcane Georgia v Wisconsin and got pounded. I didn't think the game was bad, just adjustments that I'll need to make. I was over confident in the passing after reading everything here. He returned the opening KO for a TD, which looks like it's even easier to do than last year. I think we combined for 9 INTs. 3x I got him just on jump balls down field where he was looking for a streak. Ball was just under-thrown. He snagged 3 of them from me in situations where my WR was running a cross/out and the DB/LB made up ridiculous ground to cut off the pass from underneath. 2 seemed pretty far fetched. He grabbed another on a 5yd hitch from the X WR and took it back for 6. Since this is the only online game that I've played against a human, I'm not sure if it was me needing to adapt to how the coverage plays now or what exactly. I'm not passing judgement on it yet though, I'll wait a week or so and log a good amount of games.

i've played against Mike when he was South Carolina and i've played against shitty guys with shitty teams.

to me, the game runs really well on that level. i was able to stop the run, i was able to stop the pass. i was also chewed up at times in the run and the pass. i found offensively when i played the good teams i had to be much tighter and against the shittier teams i could make way more mistakes.

thought the lb 'super jumps' were pretty realistic and generally happened when i threw bullets.

i've enjoyed it so far.
