In my opinion, this is the mindset that we need to get out of!shel311 wrote:This is true.packsyD22 wrote: It doesn't matter that he uses them he's so fucking bad at the game anyway
If we are ok with people running the strategy stuff, then we need to be ok with anyone running it, not just someone that you feel is bad at the game.
If we are not ok with people running the strategy stuff, then we need to put the hammer down and tell everyone to stop and make it a rule so they abide by it.
But I also agree with what someone else posted, now is not the time to worry about this stuff, we are in season 3 and only have a week or two left till this season is over.
I am sure Matt and the other guys at the top will take a look at everything when the next version of NCAA hits.

It was mainly just a joke on how bad Trendon is.The_Niddler wrote:In my opinion, this is the mindset that we need to get out of!shel311 wrote:This is true.packsyD22 wrote: It doesn't matter that he uses them he's so fucking bad at the game anyway

You have to give him forum privileges though. He does have some good stories, albeit not so much lately.DRiccio21 wrote:i'm all for booting Tredon.

the features themselves wouldnt be bad if this were the case every time
on 11 it was broken like someone said...u could guess left, they run toss right and you would still crush them
if they made it where a counter to a guess = big play, THEN the features arent that cheesy and ea would be taking a step in the right direction
i full believe that if a like rated defense vs a like rated offense if someone called guess middle (irl, they are simply stacking the middle), they should be able to stop that gay fb dive which is 99.9% money but we all use it...but then again, if they "guess/predict" that and i go toss outside, it should be a nice little gain 99.95 of the time
same with guess pass...if u call a draw and i went guess pass...you should get a minimum of 8-10 yards on the play
but for now, its not balanced
maybe it will be on 13
who knows, we'll see

Re: Guess pass
Plus, I'm not into banning "guess pass" because if you are telling your defense to key on a specific receiver (which DOES have a risk reward--the safeties and other DBs will sometimes ignore other wideouts, especially in zone) and the other guy throws to that WR and you break it up, it says "guess pass". It wasn't full out guess pass which makes your DBs superhuman, it simply makes them key that one guy.
But then when guys throw to the same TE/WR over the middle on third down and you do it, they get pissy.

We can set this post to auto-post for Jsence every season around this time. I remember back in my PAC 12 commish days.ajalves wrote:play your gamesjsence2 wrote:Plus, I'm not into banning "guess pass" because if you are telling your defense to key on a specific receiver (which DOES have a risk reward--the safeties and other DBs will sometimes ignore other wideouts, especially in zone) and the other guy throws to that WR and you break it up, it says "guess pass". Let me chime in again. STRATEGY POINTS are GAF
Dont know why you would even need them. Step your playcalling up!
Spoiler!

LOL. I see you understand how logic works. Hint: it's the other way around.swellvermin wrote:Let me chime in again. STRATEGY POINTS are GAFSpoiler!Dont know why you would even need them. Step your playcalling up!

Re: Guess pass
I didn't know this either.DRiccio21 wrote:you can key on wr's?
The only strategy I use is conservative strip and tackle (to ensure no broken tackles) and conservative run so my guys dont fumble and conservative catch, I don't care about YAC if they cant catch the damn ball.

L2 to pull up the players, and then instead of hitting joystick up to "play the pass", you hit the button for the wideout you want your defense to key.
Safeties will watch him more, guys in zone will watch him more, but it can and does lead to other guys being more open and sometimes being WIDE open, so use it with moderation (hey, there's that amazing word!)
It's how I beat a certain team last year, I told my defense to key the TE he had in the slot, and he kept forcing it to him, and he would often have four guys covering him and others were open....but he had a hard-on for that guy and it cost him.

Re: Guess pass
Obviously not me since I am the only team so far to beat you in the last two seasons.jsence2 wrote:DRiccio21 wrote:you can key on wr's?

No, not you....you spread the ball around, so there's no need to key on one wideout

Re: Guess pass
Play Pass is worse than Play Run imo. At least if they guess run they are leaving themselves open to get absolutely torched by the passing game. There is no downside at all to guessing pass however. The defenders mirror all the routes perfectly on pass plays and yet still play the run like the 85 Bears. You can't see it because its not as obvious as the all out blitz of guess run but its a lot more overpowering because its all reward with no risk.
