you have to realize that PETA & the humane society had to create Vick into a monster because this was the biggest stage they were EVER going to get for their cause. ultimately this made Vick look much much worse then he normally would have and people ate up the bullshit and believed he truly was a monster. we're talking about DOG FIGHTING... drug dealers kill our youth and strip them of their potential and we don't give a fuck when they get caught, guys beat their wives and ultimately crush the woman's self esteem and chance at a happy life and we don't blink an eye, etc etc etc Vick fucked up, he payed his price, its over. if he fucks up again, he gets no third chance, he'll be gone forever

Please show me were God lists people and animals as equal, or I can save you some time and let you know that you will find nothing of the sort. Minus the whole spiritual thing, I am sort of on par with you. Obviously, humans are more important than a dog. As a pragmatic man, the dog had their chance, but it was us that rose to the top of the food chain and, thus, we should be rewarded with being the #1 concern.

However, almost paradoxically, I would generally look down on someone who killed a dog for self-gratification more than a human. Almost. Over centuries, dogs have grown to be here seemingly only to love humans and, worse, look up to us for requited love, affection, and care. So, beating them and killing them is not too different than assaulting an infant.

So, yeah, dog /=/ human, but when analyzing a human's behavior, killing dogs puts you pretty low on my fucking scale because with power comes responsibility. I believe your good book speaks about that and I am not being a dick.
