If one were to come into the season to replace a coach that began the season...oh let's say in Memphis for example. So technically that coach is "filling-in" sort-of-speak. Does the 40.20.20 still apply in regards to said coach's opportunity to stay with the team.
On the flip side...let's say that said coach would like to enter the draft. As a replacement coach, does he enter in a generic spot or does the 40.20.20 go into play to give said coach a draft position?
Just wondering for all of those newbie replacement coaches out there
good question, looks like we dont have that info posted on these new boards yet.
Unfortunately for you there are 3 tiers to the draft order.
the 1st tier is ordered greatest amount of points to least based on all coaches who entered the draft AND made enough points to keep their team.
2nd tier is ordered the same but its made of coaches who did NOT make their points (ie- were "fired")...this group is also referred to as "Day 2" since the draft was a 2 day event for the 1st 6 seasons of NDL, but has recently been 1 big blowout.
the 3rd tier are replacement coaches. This order is determined by points as well.
lastly, if we have any members not particpating in the subsequent season and we have to bring up more farmers, they draft after the replacement coaches.
So unfortunately, your 1st "full" season you wont have a great draft spot...but everyone who wasnt here for season 1 has gone through the same process.
The good news is though you may have only 10 or so teams to choose from, at least you do get to have some choice and you get to have a team from start to finish
really? i came in as a replacement and got like the 3rd pick in the 2nd day. so i assume i was grouped with the people that didnt make their points. maybe this changed?
Replacement coaches who came in during the season are not allowed to draft on day one, but are allowed to draft on day 2 and placed on the list based on their points. They do not automatically get dropped to the very end; that is just for new coaches.
