I've already reached out to my old employer. The site I was at in Iraq for the ISIS fight we couldn't keep people there at the beginning because it was too dangerous. If another mission goes over in Afghanistan it sounds like the same thing. I always told the wifey that if there was something bigger than me I'd go back in a heartbeat. Only time will tell, but this seams like it may be

I know the simple answer is, "it's the Taliban" but I don't get why they would have not done anything crazy up to this point and not that they were model citizens but we're about to remove all troops and they hadn't done anything to fuck that up.

Seems wild that they would do this, but again, "it's the Taliban" and I guess it could also be a few dudes going rogue and not the plan of the leadership folks.

This was not the Taliban. This has the hallmarks of an ISIS attack. It could be Al Qaeda, but i don't think so. I don't think Al Qaeda or the Taliban would risk it right now,. But ISIS does not like the Taliban and they were actively fighting each other for the past couple of years. This is to give the Taliban/Afghanistan a black eye
