Re: 2079 Season Thread... Weaving His Own Web
This is me conspiring with Ryan (who I didn’t like), Beefy (who iirc accused Reign of cheating), and Jason to ruin the league? I’m not seeing it. If it’s there, please feel free to find it and I’ll apologize.
Hell, I truly don’t remember defending Gabe but it appears to be there. Not sure how that’s conspiring with anyone to ruin the league though (other than the fact that Gabe was bad for the league).
I’m sorry I called you dum dum 9 years ago. That was mean.

Re: 2079 Season Thread... Weaving His Own Web
when Neurotic and Dave are going back and forth, and then Seeit has to comment and in his comment hes like "ppl think corey cheated (me included)" and yet you never have the balls to ever say anything. The best is.. NO ONE CARES WHAT YOU THINK.
Itll be like
Neurotic: Corey cheated
Seeit replies:
Beefy/Iseem: Ppl cheat
Seeit:
Nick: Bear cheats
Bear: nuh uh
Seeit:
nicks stupid youd never cheat
*year later*
Seeit: Bear was a elite cheater and cheated all the time and fuck kevin thomas
reality is youre a hack. you bring nothing to this league. At all.
youre always trying to be a shit disturber but never have the balls to lead. youre that little bitch who stands behind and goes "ya tell em.. "..

Ok. At least I know how you feel. I appreciate you sharing that.
Don’t confuse smileys and quick statements with anything other than lack of desire to put in the effort to back up my opinion. Which is, admittedly, a cop out. If I felt that strongly, I should do the research. You’re right. No sarcasm. Sometimes it just doesn’t feel like it’s worth the effort to type it all up or research 30 pages back etc.
For the record so you know where I stand since I know how you feel now:
-I don’t think Trendon cheated
-I think Gabe cheated (once he got commish access, he just pushed the envelope before then, around the time you quoted)
-I think Kevin Thomas was edited
-I don’t think Reign cheated, I think he was just good
-I think Corey edited some players, but we’ve been down that road, he spoke his piece, bowed out, and is back, and I have no problem with him.
-I didn’t like Dave but only because he seemed super smug. I believe he was a good person, and there’s no denying how good he was at the game. I think he pushed the envelope as far as he could but never did anything illegal. Again, I respected his hustle.
-I think you’re great at the game. I think you put in the most work of anyone still playing. I think you’ve found a ton of ways to innovate and try new strategies. I don’t love all the random chaos you try to start but I also think we need that as a league sometimes to stir things up and keep people engaged. Personal attacks probably aren’t always needed but you’re fully transparent with your opinion, so at least we all know where we stand with you. I think we would actually be missing something if you left. For better or worse.
I’m heading to bed. I’ll check back in tomorrow

Good lord it's a minor (major?) miracle this league has made it through all these years

Not calling him Dub feels weirder but when he made the change some of the newer guys didn’t know who “Dub” was and Webs didn’t ever feel right to me.

Re: 2079 Season Thread... Weaving His Own Web
we had a cdub at a time if i'm not mistaken, which i believe was a different person. thats why i never called him that

Yea cDub(21, I think) was a kid from Michigan. aDeeDub(some numbers) was Dave. He made a new name later on and when he came back with webs I was really confused. Just never stuck in my mind I guess.
You’re obviously Reech-e-o though

I never realized Webby was aDeeDub....
Re: 2079 Season Thread... Weaving His Own Web
My rotation went with only 4 starters because the 5th guy's start coincided with the AAA All Star game so the organization felt it important to let him go pitch (and pickup MVP honors) in that game rather than make his ML debut.
As Robot Chicken M Night Shyamalan would say, "What a twist!".

Re: 2079 Season Thread... Weaving His Own Web
Because with OOTP, ratings slowly grow over time, sort of like a power creep. It's the game's way of signifying players get consistently better as time goes by, which has been true over time. 60 contact in 2040 is equal to or worse than 50 in 2010.doc wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 8:01 am Looking at the league and my team in general. Why are our hitters who are in say 50 60 contact range so poor at hitting. I found this article and a 47 contact guy is a fringe avg guy in mlb. Idk i just found it interesting.

Another AI complaint. Why would you PH for Brad Perry? Especially if the guy subbed in isn't even listed to be a PH'er?
