hahaha
2nd year in a row the Ducks had a down-tick in July. .720, .621, .731, .571 winning percentages by month starting in april going to July respectively. Something about more than half my starters going to the All - Star game, while my counterparts stay home and watch must have something to do with it. Never any rest at the top. Let me tell ya

Now that we have advanced past the All-Star break, lets summarize the first half quickly.
AL

East - 2 teams over .500, as Miami tries to track down the Hawks, who have been in control of this division pretty much since April.

Central - Moose Jaw has run away with this division for the 2nd year in a row. They currently stand at 69-25, and they expect to be the first 70 win team in the league this season. They did have a 20 game winning streak early in the year. Is anyone gonna stop this run away train as it continues to speed toward their goal of a World Series appearance? Omaha Beef called it. They are right in the thick of things, when it comes to the wildcard. They are sitting pretty, in the 2nd spot, but the question is can they sustain this success for the rest of the reason? Do they even care? Then you have the SF Seals 1.5 games behind the Beef and are the only remaining winning team in the division. If this 3rd place AL Central team played in the East, it would be leading the division.

West - Realignment didnt affect the AL West at all. Its the Cleveland Spiders running away with it again as Philly tries its best to catch them, but are fading and fast as they are currently 8.5GB. They are the number 1 wildcard team at this point.

Just a few Stats:
Sheltown's record hasnt been favorable as they sit 10 games under .500 but Sojuro Sakamoto is having a great season with a .352 Batting average. The next highest AL wise is Travis Webb of the Cheesesteaks. Rookie Jose Vidro (played last year but did not surpass the "rookie threshold" of games played) has hit the ground running in his first full season with the Beef. Hitting 32 Home Runs thus far, which is good for 1st place in the AL (Tied with teammmate Bill Graves). Jose Vidro is also tied with the league lead in RBI at 71 with Miami's Jose Diaz.

7 of 15 teams have winning records. Still less than 50%, but improving. No one expects the AL to compete with the NL in terms of competition.

ALCS prediction: Moose Jaw vs Cleveland Spiders

NL

East - This is one of the most exciting divisions to watch in the NDL. You have four teams all with 50 wins, just jockeying for position as the season end will soon be here. Rhode Island has a 3.5 game lead over the defending champs. Fresno is 2.5 GB Washington, and the Mounties are in this battle too as they remain 2 GB Fresno. Edmonton is currently 1 game out of the final wild card spot. Anything can happen from here. Rhode Island is the hottest team at 7-3 in their last 10 and Fresno who is 6-4 in the same time span. And lets not forget Chicago made news recently too, as they are now under new management. Standing at 22 GB RI, Chicago has a lot of work to do, if they want to make this a 5 team race some day.

Central - Seattle has the advantage in the Central by 6 games over Alabama, who has surprisingly been able to stay competitive despite the major injury star pitcher Eric Howard went down with. They are trucking along and trying to find a play off spot. If the season ended today, they would miss out on a wildcard birth by 1 single game. Then there is the Greeks. These dudes dont have any quit, even though their owner started selling, while waving the proverbial white flag. They have faught back to a .500 record and now find themselves 4 games out of a wild card birth, but are 7th in line for the wild card!

West - Feels like Deja Vu all over again. The Ducks are clearly the team to beat as they streak toward another NL West crown. They currently stand 12 games ahead of 2nd place LA Bomb Squad with a record of 63-31. The 2nd best record, behind just Moose Jaw (69-25). If they are going to finish with the best record for a 2nd year in a row, they are going to have to maintain this steady pace. However it wont be easy. LA has surprised me this season, every time I look at them they are building a bigger gap between themselves and 3rd place Baltimore. Baltimore is currently 1 game over .500 and stand .5 game ahead of the Greeks in the WC chase, putting them in 6th. LA stands on the outside looking in along with Alabama, but its by the slimmest of margins. The NL wildcard will be ther premeire playoff chase to watch this season. It aught to be entertaining.

A few stats
- The top 2 batting averages in the NL belong to NY ducks players. Al Conner at .333 and Parker Anderson at .317.

- LAs Robert Graham leads the NL in home runs over Jose Flores of Detriot 28-27, However, Seattles Roberto Concepcion is charging quickly as he is on a tear finally, and is up to 26.
- Ducks continue to be the premier stolen bases team in the league. They seem to steal multiple bases daily.

- Seattles Old Man River, 37 year old Bill Quinn has successfully returned from a major shoulder injury last season, without seeing any dip in production. He currently has a 1.85 ERA in 107 IP for the Windstorm. Quinn only got to 117 IP last season before the catastrophic injury.

-If you thought the season Michael Chamberlain had last season was impressive, then you might want to tune in again this season as he attempts to surpass the numbers he had last season. It will be tough but he has a chance. He currently has 201K, a miniscule WHIP of .79 he has only allowed 79 HITS all season, and he stands at 11-1 with a 2.18 ERA in 132.0 IP and currently has a 5.1 WAR. Lasts years numbers were 20-7 2.44 ERA 161HA 398 Ks, .83 WHIP in 254.2 IP while finishing with a 9.0 WAR.

NLCS Prediction- New York vs Seattle.

I actually said "woah" out loud when I saw the orange font. My kids of course can now add another notch to their "wtf dad is playing that stupid baseball game again" belt.

This is good shit my dude. Good, solid, shit.
