Hooooly shit I wish I woulda read all that last night. Would have been 10x more entertaining than what I did for NYE lmao. Personally I can't wait for the sequel. You boys keep on floppin your big ole dicks on the table and I will keep watching/reading.
Also, bye Cisco Benitez, was a great run. One of the more underrated Closers of the last decade IMO.

Yeah I mean I guess it's just the thing that everyone knows happened, but pretends didn't happen so we can be this nice happy family, I guess?

I will say, I didn’t say anything demeaning or offensive about your wife. It was simply saying you will continue to try to add to your allies here and litter the boards with your theories and tiresome ways and know she’s in the Dugout as well.
I honestly apologize you took that so hard and wrong in hindsight looking at how hard you took it.
My bad, sincerely.

I guess I'm just a "crony" but honestly the first however many months I was here I just dismissed whenever Mike brought it up as like "Yeah whatever, I doubt that happened it's probably explainable" - but then the other day I actually like LOOKED at the history - and holy fuckin shit. I mean come the fuck on.
But I mean I guess if everyone just wants to ignore it, that's fine. I find that a really weird take on groupthink but ok I guess. That's really really weird but ok. I'd think it'd make more sense to just admit it actually happened, rather than trying to ignore something as obvious as the sky being blue, but ok

It's like all the Dugout dudes, and I think 2 or so other dudes.
Not exactly everyone, it's mroe likely only the people who you hear talk about it are talking about it because they think it's so, so it's skewing your perception of "everyone knows"

Re: 2078 Season Thread... 2 Rings for the Wings
Says the guy who let Corey into his own league.

It's honestly just a lot of fake outrage. Neurotic is acting like it's sooooo egregious but yet he's still in this league, seems obviously he's given this league a recommendation to all the other Dugout dudes in the league, AND he let Corey(and supposedly even invited) Corey into his league.
At the very least, we can all agree that makes no fucking sense whatsoever from a dude who supposedly has such strong feelings of disgust for Corey. Anyone want to take a stab at explaining how that is rational...at all?
And Nick is correct on moving on, if anyone cheated, prove it and let's boot that dude and move on. If you can't prove it and your entire basis of your argument is just that "he was too good" then ok great, you said your piece and admittedly have no evidence, so let it go and move on.
Is Neurotic going to argue that constantly harping on it is good for this league? Because otherwise, what is he doing other than just constantly complaining in an obvious hypocritical way?
Re: 2078 Season Thread... 2 Rings for the Wings
21 straight seasons of 500+ ball. 25 of the last 26. And all I do is set my lineup based on wOBA/ISO.
(I gave my secret away which Webby figured out) and these ppl wanna brag about ROggie being .500+ in a league like its hard

AL East Vs NL East. Round 1 Fight.
Re: 2078 Season Thread... 2 Rings for the Wings
I mean, what's there to prove? You have a team that won about 115 per year over a 20-season stretch he was commish, and averages about 85ish all other years. You have players that as soon as they were acquired, saw massive talent boosts, and developed to them at completely unrealistic ages like 28-29. Many of those same players would then see talent drops when they left the organization.
I've probably been involved in well north of 1000 online sim seasons - I've never seen a stretch by any GM that high and sustained. Any that I have that are even within a stone's throw of it, that GM replicated similar runs at other points as well. You could take the All-2077 team that Nick made the other day and it wouldn't even touch those W-L records, not even close.
I mean you want proof? It's right there in the dang pudding man
Now you can say that mentioning it isn't good for the league - that's fair - but as someone who personally is pretty blunt and forthright, I don't much subscribe to brushing things under the rug. I call a spade a spade.

Re: 2078 Season Thread... 2 Rings for the Wings
Hopefully I can get an honest answer from you here...
Knowing how strongly Neurotic feels about him, what is your honest opinion on Neurotic inviting that same dude to the Dugout league?
Re: 2078 Season Thread... 2 Rings for the Wings
100% honest. It's one of 4 things IMO
This is what Mike said - I''d put this as the leader in the clubhouse: "I invited you to the league because Billy asked me to. I never wanted you and would have never asked you to join myself. I've made it apparent to anyone that knows of you how much disdain I have for you."
2nd best bet would be that it was during a downturn in dugout GM participation, so Mike just wanted a body
3rd bet was that Mike didn't actually care about the cheating since it wasn't like he could cheat without being commish
4th bet was to get him in as a test case to see how he'd fare there to see if he a good enough GM to have won 2300 games over 20 seasons in a league
