Draft Pick Trading
Really can't figure out the issue with this. Someone enlighten me. Webs ends up with so many top 3 picks down the road so why not give everyone an early chance. This could really enhance the lottery picks if it gets passed.

Re: Draft Pick Trading
There would have to be some stipulations for this to pass. No 1st round picks traded, no more than x amount of picks accumulated by one team per draft, etc

Re: Draft Pick Trading
The problem I have with this is people selling their future to make a run, it doesn't work, they quit, and the team is screwed for the foreseeable future for anyone coming in to replace them. Or lets say they don't quit, but they just stop trying because why try when you have no farm.
Personally, I don't mind allowing trading of drafted players immediately and allowing PTBNL trades. This basically opens the door for backroom deals of trading picks and then you trade me the guy after you pick him type of stuff. That limits the amount you can trade to one draft and limits the future exposure.

Would suggest no trading 1st rd picks and only this years draft but I don't hate this.

This has been my concern with this anytime this topic is brought up.Neurotic wrote: ↑Thu Nov 19, 2020 10:50 pm The problem I have with this is people selling their future to make a run, it doesn't work, they quit, and the team is screwed for the foreseeable future for anyone coming in to replace them. It sounds good in theory, but if that owner quits, good luck finding a replacement when the team is shitty and has no 1st or 2nd round pick for the next 2 drafts.

Re: Draft Pick Trading
Like neurotic said, there's already back door deals for picks. That's close enough.
