The XBox is slightly better in terms of raw numbers.
XBox CPU at 3.8 GHz vs PS5 at 3.5 GHz - Both AMD Zen 2 processors.
The GPU difference will be interesting to find out what difference it truly makes as Sony uses a different technology in their chipset, so it remains to be seen how this will play out.
While the XBox has higher teraflops at 12 at 1.825 Ghz, the PS5 has 10.3 at 2.23 GHz.
The PS5 can push through data faster at 5.5GB per second compared to the XBox at 2.4GB per second, so load times and cut scenes and other things like that will be much less on the PS5.
They both have 16 GB of memory, they have 1 TB vs 825 GB of storage, so not a big difference there.
They both support 4k and 8k gaming.
So to say it is far superior is simply not true. Yes, the numbers look better, but it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
Not to mention, they are not true PCs. Games are made strictly for them, so the numbers will not matter nearly as much as a true pc.
