Re: Politics and stuff
There are at least 15 videos out right now, 1 of which is a compilation of many of them. You can fully piece together a large portion of this, which includes both fatal shootings.
Gonna use the kid's first name to save typing here (Kyle)
- 1st video starts with the Kyle being chased into the parking lot.
- 1st victim throws what looks like an ignited Molotov cocktail at him (95% sure he's the one, there is a 2nd person that comes into view)
- It comes up short of Kyle, he stops, turns, and shoots the guy. Keeps moving ahead, sees the guy fall, circles back towards him. Sees he's down, I believe he makes a phone call, and then takes off jogging again.
- Protesters begin yelling that "he shot a guy."
- Other protesters (believe this is true, but could also be someone that was previously chasing him) start running after him
- Kyle falls down, 1 person tries a flying super kick, another swings a skateboard at him and 1 took tried to throw a punch. Kyle shot 2 of them, killing 1 of them. 1 of the the 3 had a pistol.
- Kyle gets up, paces backwards, watching his surroundings, then continues to head towards the bearcats
- The 2 sec video and image that is out there of Kyle walking toward officers with both hands on the gun, 1 on the trigger is NOT from this part of the incident. It's very misleading.
- A cruiser comes flying around the corner at the next street
- Kyle approaches with his hands up (though stupidly puts one down to try to keep his gun behind him)
- Bearcats take off to the scene of the shootings
- Kyle heads to the cruiser
It's a pretty simple case for a lawyer here. The first victim was chasing and threw an ignited Molotov cocktail at him. The next victim was 1 of 3 that attacked him while he was on the ground. Neither of those are murder.
What we don't know is what happened prior to being chased by the guy with the Molotov. But ultimately, in the case of a murder charge, it's not going to matter.
*************************************************************************************
I'll get into the other stuff that isn't related to the 'murder' charge next.

Re: Politics and stuff
There are tons of videos and it's all pretty clear. The only part that I can't get 100% is that it is the Molotov cocktail guy. I've seen 4 videos of that incident from different angles and the lighting isn't the best. But I looked at the shirt colors and counted the people and I'm almost certain that it's him.GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2020 8:26 am It could change the premeditation part of it.
Watched another video last night, I am almost 100% positive he shot the guy in the head as well. I was going to post the link here but I don't like to post things that make your opinion for you. The video started with a guy yelling at the armed people and being very aggressive. A couple of the protestors pulled him back a couple of times. He was telling, "shoot me muther fucker.".
In that video it alleges that the guy that got shot in the head tried to throw a Molotov cocktail at the kid that shit him. I can't confirm it anywhere, although I really didn't look for it last night, so I didn't post it.
And when is it ever okay for a mob to try and disarm someone? And I don't believe that was their intentions from the videos. Guy was sucker punched twice as he jogged down the road. He was kicked as he was down. Another guy hits him in the back with a skateboard. I believe the only one that may have been trying to disarm him is the guy with the gun, but who knows at that point. Side not on that guy with the hand gun. There is a picture of him helping paint the street with the "defund the police" slogan. After he was shot he yelled out call the cops and yelled medic. Thought that was funny
Honestly, I don't have a reason to fault the 3 guys that chased and attacked Kyle right now. They could have been chasing him prior, I don't know. But I'm not going to jump to that conclusion right now. It's just as possible that they heard someone else yelling that "he just shot someone in the head" and they felt they were doing the right thing by trying to take down a "crazy guy with a gun."
I certainly have no sympathy for the guy that tossed a Molotov cocktail at him and got shot in the head.

Re: Politics and stuff
First of all, feel free to call me an asshole if you want, but what the kid did with that weapon was damn impressive. I can only hope that if I'm ever in a situation where I need to defend myself, that I can perform like he did.
He's chased by 1 individual, turns and shoots him in the head. He's then chased by others and falls to the ground (I'd like to skip this part if I'm in his situation), 3 come at him with a kick/punch/skateboard swing and he hits 2 of them, seriously maiming 1 and killing the other. He got up and retreated to safety. Minimal shots fired and no collateral damage.
Next, I see the media is already trying to make this sounds outlandish. They are calling him a "vigilante" and highlighting that he "travel clear across state lines to be at the protest." That's a big disingenuous. He lives 12 miles from Kenosha and seems to have been there to "defend property." I don't know the details of the gun laws, but crossing lines with the weapon and being underage will certainly have consequences. That crime is going to be independent of what happened once he was there.
While I think that just about everyone there is f'n stupid, if I'm putting it on a scale of justifiable reasons for being there, going to defend private property isn't the worst of intentions. (I also think if you're doing this, you're begging for confrontation, which goes to some earlier points)
- w/gun defending property from being destroyed (if you are close to the owner)
- w/gun protesting (I can understand concealed carrying for protection)
...big gap
- w/gun defending property from being destroyed (randomly doing so) <---I think this is the case?
...massive gap, F this dude
- w/Molotov cocktail for any reason at all
Finally, there's something to be said for what happens politically here. This incident is going to be a trigger point and right now, it looks to heavily favor the right. We'll see how that changes in the coming days.

Re: Politics and stuff
Whew... still catching up from a fun day...
Biden: 'Burning down communities is not protest'
Is this the first time that Biden or a strong voice on the left has condemned the violent protests?
Is it purely coincidence that the day that Biden makes this statement, the density of protests in Kenosha (a major flare up the prior 2 days) and places like Portland, turned out to be less than prior nights? Are we doing to see a trend of less people there?

Pretty wild to make that leap, but also not wrong. May just be all that he could say, based on investigations.

The guy red t-shirt with black pocket is the one that was shot in the head. I also believe the guy with the skateboard is also the other to be shot and killed.

Re: Politics and stuff
I believe it is. But there is a reason for it. Biden is slipping in the polls, fly over country and the suburbs are done with the lawlessness in these cities. Trump approval rating on Monday went up to 51% based off those factors, his highest. What also didn't happen was a post convention boost to Biden. I think that is telling in how flat the DNC went over for normal AmericansReignOnU wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2020 8:54 am Whew... still catching up from a fun day...

The guy shot in the head, Joseph D Rosenbaum was a registered sex offender.

Re: Politics and stuff
finally saw the guy throw the MC at him. I must say, that is some pretty impressive shooting. Turns around on the run and head shot the dude. He was probably going for a chest shot but the dude is like 5'1"

Didn't want to post this in the NBA thread, but it definitely should get some love from Billy since he'll never see it here:

It’s depressing/ sad how many closet racists there are in the world in 2020.
Every time someone black posts on twitter it’s just nothing but white ppl being malicious. Shut up and dribble! U make millions we gotta work!
Ya they spent their lives being elite at a thing that’s hard to be elite at. You decided to work a min wage job cause you’re shit at most things. Life isn’t fair.

Re: Politics and stuff
I wouldn't call that being racist. They are just assholes. But that is what social media has done, it's given the ability to say whatever you want without the fear of being punched in the mouth for saying stupid shitnick wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2020 4:16 pm It’s depressing/ sad how many closet racists there are in the world in 2020.
