Oooh, good one.

Someone who last won a title a loooooong time ago, seemingly has what many think is a good team but never turns out to be good.

Wait a minute...fuck!!!

You want to teach someone, put them there before the sim.

At worst its 2 sims.
I think I like the 2 sims. For example, I claimed Carlos Alomar in rule 5 to be a super utility guy but previous owner had not taught him anything so this spring I am playing him half at 2B and half at 3B so he can at least get a 25-30 rating at each before the season. Doing it in one shot does not allow you to do that and I basically do that every spring with one or two guys.

14 day sims gives you the shot to at least make some changes half way thru. We will go to this next season and see how it works, I think it will be pretty good.

Yea that would be my only thing. Allow for changes to rotate some guys around

we could also try 2 sims a day (if billy schedule permits).

gives guys who care a chance to switch stuff up and keeps schedule in offseason a little more bearable

I didn't catch the beginning of this whole discussion... Is there a problem with the current offseason length? Or were people just spitballing?

Start the season with 4 games in New England.

I expect cold showers, random phone calls in the middle of the night, and a 4 hour ring ceremony prior to each game.

Each coach and player is getting their ring individually (with a video montage) between each inning over the course of the 4 games.

You dont need two sims to move some guys. Just put them starting every set day at each position in the depth chart. Boom, problem solved. Or teach them in AAA you nerds.

I know this is an easy fix and a great idea to make it happen, but some guys don't use 7 day lineups.
Would be a very easy way to make it happen though for that 1 sim.

You don't need 7 day lineups. Just set the depth chart correctly.

However, counter point to Neurotic about the AAA thing, ST grows guys faster so its not to be overlooked.

We should sim 1 month / day. We all have depth charts so it’s good.

I am going to sim 14 day sims all offseason next time including spring training. I think its been a success so far and I think everyone will like it next offseason too. We have cut down lots of time and I like where things are.

14 day sim April May June and July since they don’t matter anyways. August and September the only true meaningful months in baseball
