The difference is the amount of votes being cast that way

Mail-In: It's exactly what it says, anyone, for any reason, can mail in the vote.

Absentee: A vote cast prior to the election, because the voter can't be there on election day. Most are mailed (think people overseas), some can be done in person. Absentee voting requires a valid reason why the person can't be there on the given day.

From a process standpoint, they are mailed the same. Absentee requires a reason why.

It's so wild to me that this day and age I can't vote online or right from my phone.

I can't really even fathom how that hasn't been figured out yet.

Chinese, Russian and some kid random 16 year old somewhere in the USA can hack into NSA, CIA and FBI.....you think they could really secure the election from online voting?

You go to a polling station and much of the time now they record your vote through an electronic system. So, that's much safer or just a tad bit safer?

I am not 100% positive on this, but pretty close......polling stations are on an intranet with no outside connection ability.

I’m wondering if this is true with how quick reporting is.

Here is a good article from Time Magazine regarding how votes are cast and potential vulnerabilities

https://time.com/4498995/voting-hackers ... g-station/

So a lot of the electronic voting has a paper audit there are a couple of states that have zero paper trail for audit purposes.

A couple of articles I read the vulnerabilities come from people hacking the system at the polling station. The computers are extremely old from what I have read.

The US needs to have a standardized electronic polling machine. Each county in the same state could use different types of machines.

All electronic polling machines should have a paper receipt for auditing purposes. I find it weird that there were Republican states that had zero paper trail as it's something they always worry about, voter fraud. They should clean up their act in that regard

19% of votes disqualified in New Jersey's 3rd largest city. 4 men charged with voter fraud. I think it would be more wide spread if a national mail in ballot initiative was implemented, especially with cities that have never done anything like this before.

Is anyone else embarrassed to be white? Good lord reading Twitter.

Black person: this happened

White people: but but but we need attention and this happened!!!

Black people: blm
White people: All lives matter!!! (Including rapists and pedophiles by their logic)

Just people: covid has killed 150k ppl
White people: black people have had 22 mil abortions since the 50s!!

Like what the fuck is wrong with old white people? Get lives. What also sucks is like usual old ass ppl ruin everything. Fb is dead. Twitter is dead. Old ppl retweeting raffles for free iPads and getting hacked by Indian scammers.

Not a fucking ounce of embarrassment. I don't apologize for other white people being racist as I would not expect black Americans to apologize for the gang bangers shooting kids

it was taking the worse of the worse accusations for both sides.

Whites = racist
Blacks = gang bangers

you do twitter, just look at both sides arguing back and forth and see how often it gets thrown out

President Trump boasted about the amount of retweets he received in a post saying that Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), the chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, assured him that military bases named after Confederates will not be changed.

"I had about 95,000 positive retweets on that. That's a lot," Trump told Inhofe on a phone call the senator put on speaker while dining at a Washington, D.C., restaurant Wednesday night, according to audio leaked to The New York Times.

Inhofe, 85, reportedly put the call on speaker so he could hear better, making the conversation audible to those seated at Trattoria Alberto, a small Capitol Hill eatery frequented by Republican lawmakers.

All the GDP stuff posted was accurate, but wasn't it still the worst GDP drop ever? Even given it's always calculated that way?
