When was the last time u made the playoffs? Might wanna change up your research. Crazy!
Making the playoffs has nothing to do with my research.
I haven't made the playoffs because I haven't put in the effort running my team till about 3 seasons ago or so.
I would say I made a pretty good transition considering my team is a .500 team this season, we are 1st in the league in Defensive Efficiency and we have the #2 rated minor league system.

Not good enough for Nick. We all know he's the best at OOTP, we are just his subjects in this game

why be in something if you're not gonna put in effort? the fuck? what a piss poor excuse
The boards is enough to stick around, the ONLY reason I'm still playing. If it wasn't for OOTP I would have drifted off into the sunset by now and we wouldn't have our fun little back and forth. And I'm sure JD puts in more effort than 1/3 of the current OOTP guys now.
I really don't have to explain this to you, but my team has been bad for a very long time. I lost interest many seasons ago and contemplated leaving. I did the bare minimum and went about my day, probably spending 5 minutes to download the new file, do the minimum and export.
Then, probably about 6-7 NDL seasons ago or so, if not longer, I was in another league and the commish up and left us, after the first season that we all spent a ton of time doing the inaugural draft and such and I didn't want all that work to be for not, so, since I had experience running a league, I reached out to him and he gave me access to slack and everything in-game and I took it over, got it up and running and got it to be full of members and have it up and running successfully for a few seasons now, so I was busy saving that league from going away to where I didn't focus on my team here in the NDL. I would do the bare minimum here (Salary Arb, rule 5, rookie draft, etc.), but about 3 NDL seasons ago, I got the other league finally running smooth and then I had time to focus on my other leagues.
In my opinion, your ootp success is a direct result of how much time you put into it.
