Ratings aren't a be all end all but that pitching staff has been defying the odds for a few seasons now. Even still, Manuel shaved off a half run from last year and Wallace a full run
When your ace loses over 20 stuff and 10 movement, that's going to hurt.

Sorry fellas, I always facetime George after playoffs and as I did that and kept drinking I guess I forgot to put out a file after playoffs. One is uploading now. Then I will get going on the rollover and have it done this afternoon.

OSA didn't even think he existed until June. We got random 33 year olds showing up from "independent" beer leagues? Did we break it?

Seriously? I love the ridiculousness of some of these. Call an Uber dammit.

McCormick Injures Foot While Changing Tire:

Next time, he'll call a mechanic. During an afternoon off from team activities, Jim McCormick had hoped to finish some chores around the house, then drive into town to pick out some new furniture. When he opened his garage, however, he found his front tire, slumped and defeated, punctured with a tenpenny nail from nearby construction. Rather than admit defeat, McCormick set to work fixing the problem - a mindset he says has served him well throughout his career. "It's how I was raised. Have a problem? Find a solution. Swing and miss? Next time, swing harder. Get a flat tire? Go find a jack and get down to it. It's not rocket science," said the 26 year old left fielder, gesturing with his crutches.

Unfortunately for his teammates, that can-do attitude didn't coincide with safety-first sensibility. "I had the spare on, started cranking on the lugnuts, and somehow my foot slipped and caught the jack. I fell, I heard a metal on metal, and bam! It happened so fast, I couldn't see what happened. All I knew was, my foot felt like it was off my leg!"

It seems as though when McCormick fell, something caused the jack to come loose, and down came 3,000 pounds of automotive fury on one unsuspecting size-13 shoe. "Hurt like a sonofagun. I don't mind saying: I cried and yelled at that car for five minutes while I tried to get the wheel off my foot. I screamed at it like it killed my dog," laughed McCormick, who later admitted to feeling glad he could laugh at his misfortune.

"I'm just glad it didn't land on my head." Early reports are saying he will be out about 8 weeks with a fractured foot.

Going into the playoffs, CL Jordan was hot (40 games, 19 saves, 41.2 IP, 55 Ks, 0 HRA), and so was C Riggs (10 game, 17/37, .459, 3 HR 12 RBIs).

In the 3 series in the playoffs:
Jordan - 6 games, 1 save, 2 HRA, 9.45 ERA

Riggs - 16 games, 12/58, .207, 1 HR, 4 RBI

Add the fact that LF Marino injuried his foot in the WC series...

Wrong time to cool off and to get injuries (yes, I know there are never good times for either)

End of the day it was a good season to make it to the NLCS even though OSA predicted us to finish 80-82 and miss the playoffs.

Hope to be back again next year
