Curious on the "holy fuck" take.

He's not a SS. If he is played there, he'll be a bottom 5-10 SS in the league.

His eye rating and the ability to walk is the only redeeming quality he has at the plate, and it's his only chance at being an average hitter.

I think he'll be one of those guys who gives you an OPS+ around 80-90. If he was an elite SS, this may be fine and he can get you, say, 3-4 WAR. But he won't be a good SS, so it's tough to see where his value is. $13mil isn't a ton of money, but I think he'll be a 2-3 WAR guy for the next few seasons at best.

Reynoso currently hitting .190 with an 83 OPS+, has the 19th best defensive efficiency for a SS.

But he's somehow on pace for 3.1 WAR.
