As AJ stated, what does negotiating really do? Nothing.

I think the fear of auto-signing was due to money. I believe it was voted down because people thought that their demands would be met, even the $4M 13th round HS kid demand. If that isn't the case then let's go with it. If they are getting that money then it should be a vote.

When players are auto signed, you no longer have to pay them. You draft them and they're assigned to your team. There is no negotiating. There is no payment. If anything, it frees up ~7M

We have debated it for years.
If the guys that made ootp would actually make the game like real life that would be one thing, but that will never happen as they are too focused on perfect team now and could, clearly, give a shit less about simulation baseball leagues.
