Re: 2070 Season Thread.... Oh Canada
we could potentially end the season with only 1 100 win team. between cinci and bowie someone has to win 100 but no other team may get there.
Re: 2070 Season Thread.... Oh Canada
The AL is going to have a team miss the playoffs that would be tied for a first round bye in the NL. I am not getting in the Nick/George debate but the gap between AL/NL is wider this year than ever.

Nick finishes the season at .500 against the horrible NL, losing 4 of 6 to the Beef and Alabama.

If you didn't send a team from the (L)east they wouldn't miss the playoffs

Re: 2070 Season Thread.... Oh Canada
Pretty wild considering I started the season 39-11 thru 50 games. I only had major injuries for like 5 weeks so not really an excuse to fall back this much.
Re: 2070 Season Thread.... Oh Canada
The AL East is far and away better than two of the NL divisions this year. I'd say they are behind the NL West but not far better than the NL Central and East.GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 10:50 amIf you didn't send a team from the (L)east they wouldn't miss the playoffs

I haven't looked at the stats, but there are two perspectives on this.
Looking at overall records does not compare apples to apples. Show me the AL vs. NL records to compare. How many cross over games are there per each team? If a majority of your games are in your own division and league, you can't say one league is better than the other by a huge margin. I'm not going to look up those stats.

Playing 28 games against sub .400 teams (AJ just got above that number with winning 2 of 3 from the Beef) all year will inflate that win total.

I believe it's 3 games each with the occasional 4 game series across leagues. I may get bored later and do this, but most likely not. I do know Miami is .500 against the NLcougnix wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 10:55 amI haven't looked at the stats, but there are two perspectives on this.

Compared to playing 56 games against 4 sub .500 teams?
Re: 2070 Season Thread.... Oh Canada
id like to think i should have a really good shot this year. NL is down, I have 3 solid SPs and a fantastic closer to go along with a handful of solid hitters to really make a run... but i will likely lose in 5 or 6 like usual in the NLDS ha
Re: 2070 Season Thread.... Oh Canada
im so confused by George's.. Does he realize hes in the worst division in the league?? im lost.

I don't see "record versus opponent" anymore. May have been gone for years now, but I remember back in the day you could see your record against any specific opponent at any given time...?
