Inexpensive Gaming Headset

Post by Seeitsaveit13 »

Looking for one in the $50ish range. Currently have the very meh $19 PS4 one.

Mostly just want to be able to hear sounds in call of duty as well as party chat without going deaf or not hearing anything.

Any suggestions on people’s setups?

I've had 3 turtlebeach headsets crap out or just flat out break on me. I don't toss them around and treat my stuff pretty good but they just haven't held up.

The PS4 headset is nice. Love the sound and the battery life on it

No clue what the price is though, probably $90 if I remember right so a little more than you want to pay

If you're trying to go really cheap, there's a budget brand that I've picked up that are pretty comfortable. I had my first set for about 3 years and I'm about 3 years into my 2nd set. Sades is the brand. Picked them up through Amazon. I'm careless with them, tossing them in a drawer/wedging them between my computer desk/wall... they take a good beating. I had to replace my first ones because I ran over the cord multiple times with my chair. Otherwise I'd probably still have them.

I’ll take a look. TB is supposedly one of the best companies, no?

Pretty solid sound? Double ear or single ear?

The PS4 Gold wireless headset isn't much more than your price point and works great with the system. I've got one and it's comfortable and sounds great.

$67 new on Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/Sony-PlayStation ... 207&sr=8-4

The microphone is reviewed as "not good" but I've never really used that. Could be a reason to stay away if that is important to you.

Sades - Similar to mine

Updated version

They are 7.1 software generated. It's what you find in 7.1 under $70ish usually. If you want hardware driven, you have to go closer to $100 in most cases.

Gonna give the “updated” one a go in 3.5 headphone jack format.

Appreciate everyone’s help
