But, you're not part of essential jobs, so curfew or no curfew, they would be looking to shut down your work.GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Mon Mar 16, 2020 12:39 pmCurfews matter to me as my work is usually done in the evening and can run late into the evening. I'm heading out Wednesday to do a demo for Old Dominion so I can wash their trucks, 60 day cabs and 100+ trailers.dakshdar wrote: ↑Mon Mar 16, 2020 12:21 pmAround here, doesn't matter much if there is a curfew or not. No restaurants, no bars, no gyms, no entertainment venues. Most retail stores are closing. There's nothing to do even if there is no curfew.GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Mon Mar 16, 2020 12:16 pmYou are basically stating we are going to have Martial Law. I don't think it gets that bad. I still see some people working, trucking industry has to work or this country goes down pretty damn fast. I don't see a curfew either. I think there will be a lot of suggestions with no serious consequences for violating them, for now....Cnasty wrote: ↑Mon Mar 16, 2020 12:11 pm Only "essential" reasons to be outside including:
Grocery runs
Pharmacy needs
Physician visits/test check ins
Essential job requirements-FD,Police, etc
Curfew
Limiting domestic travel
No clue how that would all work and I am sure more details but thats the gist of what is being discussed.
The curfew is not to make people stay home from work, shutting down non-essential work already does that.

One of the craziest things I read about this thing is that it has already mutated once is their thought and it could continue to mutate of course down the road.

Yes, but that could be true for all folks working the restaurants, gyms, movie theaters, bars, stores, etc that they already closed.GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Mon Mar 16, 2020 1:15 pmFor my mortgage it's essential. Especially if it's prolonged.
Who knows how a national quarantine would work. In Italy right now you wouldn't be out cleaning trucks.

Apparently HHS was hacked last night with false information being disseminated about a national quarantine.

We are closed until April 13th. Admin has to still come in so I’m still here today. The governor today put out a recommendation that state employees work remotely for at least the next two weeks so that’s about to stop.GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Mon Mar 16, 2020 11:43 am My sister in law just called me, she's a teacher, and she said it's sounding like school will be out till early May. What about you other teachers? AJ?

I only worried cause my dumbass mom (overweight, smoker, 60+, diabetic) worked at a Pharmacy so I had to prep for her funeral.GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Mon Mar 16, 2020 7:50 amYou are following this a lot more than me. But I read that most of the deaths are 80-90 year olds.
As far as Africa, let's hope Boka Haram and Al Shabab get decimated by this illness
But Im pretty sure I got it anyways so I'll just prep for mine

I saw that they are giving the first dose of a vaccine today in Seattle. Let's hope this works so we can go back to normal life

You have to start somewhere right? If it's effective how long does it take to get out to the masses? Weasel?

Re: Random Discussions
12-18 months and that would break records in how quickly it was done.

Sure start somewhere but saying they are "giving a vaccine" today is far from what is happening.GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Mon Mar 16, 2020 2:30 pmYou have to start somewhere right? If it's effective how long does it take to get out to the masses? Weasel?
Fake news

Re: Random Discussions
im sure a vaccine will be created a lot quicker for this than normal thjo. Normally one sector is working to save a country or two.. this case every country in the world is trying to save everyone from the same thing.
My predictions is this will curve money into military and a lot more money into medicine

the numbers keep increasing and death rate keeps increasing. It will 100% not slow down in the US. Toronto is 20 days behind what Italy is today and US cities are a weekish ahead of us.
