Re: NFL Thread
Since Garrett took that angle if I were Rudolph or the Steelers I'd reverse course and press charges.
Re: NFL Thread

If I'm innocent, fire up the assault and defamation charges.wdoupis wrote:Since Garrett took that angle if I were Rudolph or the Steelers I'd reverse course and press charges.
I just think the argument ender is multiple Browns players coming out today and saying today was the first they've heard of the racial slur.
So not only did Garrett tell NONE of his teammates after the game this happened, but his teammates aren't just saying "no comment" in support of their guy. They're going the other way and saying, "Nah, he didn't say that to us."

Re: NFL Thread
NFL always has tons of mics that can pick up most anything on the field.
They didn't say they listened to them explicitly but they have come out and said they reviewed the allegation, and there was no evidence to support this.
This should stain Garrett's name probably even worse than the helmet hit.

In an interview with The Athletic published Thursday, the Carolina Panthers’ star running back revealed that a voter once apologized for not giving him their vote. The reason why? The voter simply hadn’t seen enough of McCaffrey’s games — they were often asleep when Stanford’s games started.

Re: NFL Thread
Some Michael Thomas nuggets:
Including playoffs has had 188 receptions since his last drop. Week 7 2018.
Has as many 1st down catches as OBJ and Diggs this year combined
Averages more WR yards per game than the Eagles, Ravens, or Colts entire WR Corps
Brees to Thomas completion percentage 86%. Higher than the league average for screen passes.
Bridgewater QBR targeting Thomas is over 95, when targeting everyone else 54. That QBR difference is the QBR gap between Russell Wilson to Mitch Trubisky

They said Linemen are always mic'd up, but it is not recorded or used for anything after a game.
I wonder if they will start recording it now just to have for a week at a time in case they need it going forward.

NFL claimed they didn't have audio. Their input came from the head ref that came into the play as Myles was yanking Rudolph up by his helmet. I highly doubt that the audio just disappears. Beyond that, I'll be interested to see if Fox has something. The parabolic mics on the sideline can pickup all kinds of stuff.

It’s usually both guards or one guard and the center. They put the mics on the shoulder pads before the games.The_Niddler wrote:shel311 wrote:NFL always has tons of mics that can pick up most anything on the field.

That’s how you can hear the “Omaha!” And snap counts etc so well on TV.
Not sure what the broadcaster does in terms of recording it but the audio guy in the truck likely heard the whole thing live id assume.
