I'm going to be at National Harbor at the Gaylord National Resort from December 13-18. I have never been to DC so I will probably bug out a day and see as much as I can.
Anyone have must do's? Must Eat? Anything really. I'm going to try and have my wife with me for the weekend, but we will see.

Not sure if it's something you'd be interested in, but check with Fords Theater. They do A Christmas Carol in December that's pretty good. Then you're right there next to the National Christmas Tree, they'll also have carolers and a Christmas Market out there.

The Newseum is a really cool museum in DC, that is shutting down after the end of this year. If you've never been I would probably hit all the typical tourist spots like the white house etc

Found out a former student works in the senate offices. Might hang with him and get an intern to give us a tour
