Pels went from zero depth for years to having to many guys who can play minutes.

They played 12 guys in the 1st 15 minutes, all 12 guys got double digit minutes. Hated it.

Gotta get them some playing time so when 4 guys get injured it's not a shock to these young guys playing that many minutes in front of the crowd

i think NBA just does the best job marketing and story telling.

and also the nature of basketball is such that 'stars' are created in college because a huge percentage of NBA players were their college teams ball dominant player. Their names are more familiar because they were 'stars' and as they move up the rankings, even if they become role players, we are very familiar with them.

in other sports thats not really the case... we don't know a first team offensive lineman at a MAC school who becomes back up offensive linemen in the NFL and shit like that. but we know Frank Kaminsky as he was the most popular athlete during that final 4 run and now hes depth fodder on random NBA teams.

but to your point, it is a pretty wide open race this year.

story telling in the NBA? like GSW v Lebron for 4 years?

I think (as is the case with you) that whatever is your fav sport you're gonna know little things about it that others dont. You also used a apples to orange example.. a kid on a final 4 team vs a meaningless conf in another sport.

I think as many people would know a backup MAC Olineman as they would be able to name the Butler kids on the finals team that lost..

NBA and not even close. But that might be my age talking. I can say I have never watched any of those eSports events on ESPN or the other channels.

it might still be the NBA sure, but to say it isn't even close is simply being out of touch IMO. I don't mean that in a bad way, but you are pretty old

I don't think eSports were around before Christopher Wallace passed, but he loved him some basketball so I'd say the NBA will continue to be biggier

I'm pretty sure some of these eSPorts tournaments have bigger payouts than all the Majors that Golf and Tennis do.

Last night, Andrew Wiggins played 36 minutes and had a +/- of - 26.

His team won.

I shaved that off a long time ago. I only grow it when deployed and I'm done with that shit unless something big happens or ISIS (or similar) gets real big
