I'm guessing the Lakers pick goes about as well as the Brown pick before the NFL season. I think the title comes out of the East again.

You don't have to hope, I am right.

Gotta go over to Iowa and see if I can bet against the Lakers winning it all. I can see them missing the playoffs too, all it takes is one injury and they will crumble

Sneaky 8 seed contender!
I agree. We have a lot of young talent that has potential and adding Satoransky and Thad Young should help stabilize them. Hoping for another leap for Lauri and for Lavine to expand his game. First time I’ve been excited about the Bulls regular season starting in a few years

You're reaching at this point.

As long as we can agree that Kerr is deciding not to speak here because his team gets $133mil a year from China and not for the reasons he claimed, we're mostly in agreement.

I doubt anyone really believes Kerr isn't speaking because he's just totally not in the know with what's going on there.
i agree with you.

and of course i was reaching, that was the point. the point was that you can reach on any topics you wish to. and depending on your tiers of things that matter to you then you can make a legit case that others should be speaking on it. like when players leave to go do religious commitments and stuff like that, for some its crazy but for them its everything. if i lost a family member due to drinking and driving i'd care a lot more about drinking and driving than i do my financial situation, etc.

I think you're being dismissive to say that it's not in his backyard. This is an NBA issue, he is an NBA coach with a team playing over there. Yes, he's going to be asked about it. He's not being asked about his opinion on Turkey-Syria. He's connected to this. When you create precedent of speaking out, then you hide when you're in conflict, your opinion is going to be devalued and you're going to be perceived negatively.

There's a report that the Chinese government has instructed the media to tone down the anger towards the NBA.

Looks like it may all blow over soon.

A retweet is all it takes to say he knows about a complicated issue enough to give an insightful answer?

As a person in the public eye, would you retweet regarding a conflict that you're not versed on?

This doesn't make sense to me.

If you're saying the issue is so complicated and he isn't well versed to give an opinion on it, then why would he tweet support of a side?

I can retweet all I want about ending gun violence or anything else I care about but if you ask me for an insightful answer on what exactly we should do and why it would be a lot tougher.

I'd imagine he does support the people of Hong Kong so he retweeted his support of them. Does that mean he has insightful answers on what should happen with the conflict and what the NBA should do after all this started?

I'm gonna go ahead and change my mind here, you guys are right. Kerr probably should go ahead and sit this one out and stop talking for a bit til this blows over:
Steve Kerr on if he's ever been asked about human rights during his previous trips to China:

"No. Nor has (America's) record of human rights abuses come up either... People in China didn't ask me about, you know, people owning AR-15s and mowing each other down in a mall."
