Congrats!
You didn't even bother to argue what we're talking about, just took it really personal. So yea, you obviously just want to close your eyes and keep it going the way it is.
Sorry you thought it was a Bama issue and got real pissy, that's a you thing. My issue was clearly with the game itself.

You are only pissy because it's not you Shel. Like I said I know exactly how I built everything up so if want to know, message me. Take care Shel.

Still dodging every point I made and taking shots, while telling me you're not being defensive.Ry wrote:You are only pissy because it's not you Shel. Like I said I know exactly how I built everything up so if want to know, message me. Take care Shel.

Also you're wrong, so there's that.
Re: 2066 Season Thread... Hakuna Nonaka
Market size is by far the hardest to build and takes a really long time as Webby said. It takes a really, really good stretch of 10-15 seasons to get it from what I can tell.
Bama has the biggest market size in the game and also has the highest loyalty. That is why his revenue stays high. He also rarely trades his stars or loses them so perhaps that is a big factor since he does not take those 6-8 point fan interest hits every time he trades a star

You all forget that the foundation of Bama are the Spitter fans of yesteryear
Those Spitter fans stayed true to the organization

Bama is the Yankees of our league. He could shit in bags and throw it at fans and they'd still sellout every game.

I like the comparison but not true. To many playoff failures to call us the Yankees. More like the Red Sox or Cubs.TheGobOne wrote:Bama is the Yankees of our league. He could shit in bags and throw it at fans and they'd still sellout every game.

He had a big enough run to deserve high loyalty, and it absolutely should count for something during a rebuild. But should it allow him to vault right back to a top 4 budget after one 87 win season after a 4 year rebuild?
I'd argue no, that's all.
Re: 2066 Season Thread... Hakuna Nonaka
I mean unless you're one of the game devs how do you KNOW that? We need empirical evidence. I'm not saying there isn't something wrong with the budgets (god knows version 20 of this game is the buggiest) I'm just saying without proper evidence everyone is gonna have a bias in this argument.
Re: 2066 Season Thread... Hakuna Nonaka
Also, Bama seems to ALWAYS have 3 or 4 Extremely Popular guys. And it was proven - when Billy lost 110 games 2 years in a row and his Fan Interest never left 100 - that signing a lot of Extremely Popular players brings people to the ballpark.

How do I know that he had a 4 year rebuild, then one 87 win season, and got back to a top 4 budget? I don't understand the question there.TheGobOne wrote:I mean unless you're one of the game devs how do you KNOW that?
For the record, i'm not saying it's not acting like the Devs intend, nor do I know what a fix would look like, just simply saying how can a team ever fail if it's THAT easy to get a top 4 budget? 4 losing seasons, come back and have 1 ok season, and you're back...it's completely fail proof if it's that easy.TheGobOne wrote:We need empirical evidence. I love how all of you guys fall into Shelton's trap. Shel can never lose an argument, nor would he admit if he was wrong. It happens to the best of us.

Minus the titles, yes.TheGobOne wrote:Bama is the Yankees of our league. He could shit in bags and throw it at fans and they'd still sellout every game.
He started strong, stayed strong, and, like Billy said, doesn’t randomly trade everyone for 2-3 runs and then rebuild.
Nothing wrong with that strategy for wins, but it certainly does cause interest hits and loyalty hits, which trigger the budget.
