Still, they start custodians out around here at like $27k per year, maybe $30k.

I have no insterest in being a custodian, but I have a few years experience as a Technology Coordinator, so I should be able to start at like $80-100k up there.

What's an average home price there? 3 bedroom 2 bathroom
Gallon of gas (or you guys use liter?)
Milk?
Hamburger?

I'd think Toronto is very close to the left coast in pricing

It wouldn't be a top city for me if it was that expensive. I was just trying to put it into perspective

If Niddler thinks that job pays 20k a year more than the states because he thinks you meant USD but you are talking CAD so it actually only pays 7k a year more he may reconsider moving to Canada. I think that was the purpose of this.

That also felt like a Niddler post I just typed

its still not relative. it would be relative if everything across the board had a 1.33% increase to make up for the US-CDN conversion difference.

Perception my man

Omaha has a great quality of life and affordable housing and I'd consider a top city to live in. San Francisco may be amazing to 99% of Americans but I would not think of it that way due to cost of living. (Old people thoughts)

Most likely

I lived in Hawaii from 18-25, absolutely loved it. As a 40+ year old, not sure I'd like it.
