Re: Scouting Accuracy Poll
Wait, I've maxed scouting since I took over my team and I've never ever thought about dropping it. Scouting is your lifeblood in this game....I think it's crazy to not have it maxed. Am I alone??
Re: Scouting Accuracy Poll
This is the first season I have put a single dollar in to scouting in 20+ seasonsTheGobOne wrote:Wait, I've maxed scouting since I took over my team and I've never ever thought about dropping it. Scouting is your lifeblood in this game....I think it's crazy to not have it maxed. Am I alone??
Re: Scouting Accuracy Poll
So maybe we answered our own question? How could you see guys so differently? Cause people put literally ZERO dollars in scouting and expect accuracy.

Re: Scouting Accuracy Poll
I mean, mine has been maxed out ever since I joined, weighted towards international/amateur, and I'm still seeing people who are also maxed out on scouting having DRASTICALLY different results on prospects. I'm talking top 5 or 10 picks that my scout has as 25s.TheGobOne wrote:So maybe we answered our own question? How could you see guys so differently? Re: Scouting Accuracy Poll
Exactly this. Top picks all of our scouts should be pretty similar. Your scout shouldn't see him as a .300/40/100 guy and my scout sees him as a .250/10/50 guy.Roggie wrote:I mean, mine has been maxed out ever since I joined, weighted towards international/amateur, and I'm still seeing people who are also maxed out on scouting having DRASTICALLY different results on prospects. Re: Scouting Accuracy Poll
Not what anyone is saying.nick wrote:youre telling me baseball prospects dont pan out just like real life? sheltown shocker..
If you go thru the thread, it's more about how one scout says a guy is destined to be an 80/80 guy whereas another says he will be a 35/35 guy (when both scouts have the same amount of money allocated towards scouting). There shouldn't be that much of a variance, especially when talking about the top 20 guys in a draft.

Re: Scouting Accuracy Poll
Already explained this. Scouting accuracy has NOTHING to do with potential fluctuation. Prospects can still flame out or go from nothing to superstar.nick wrote:youre telling me baseball prospects dont pan out just like real life? sheltown shocker..
Imagine Bryce Harper when he was a prospect: Everyone saw him as, at minimum, a major league starting caliber player. In this league, you'd have a few teams who see him as a 25/25 guy who can't do crap. That's the issue.

Re: Scouting Accuracy Poll
The Devs/Creators have said that putting money into it yields a pretty negligible return.TheGobOne wrote:Wait, I've maxed scouting since I took over my team and I've never ever thought about dropping it. If you have money to throw around, it's obviously worth it. If you can put that money to better use elsewhere, from what the Devs have said, it doesn't seem worth it at all.

Re: Scouting Accuracy Poll
What if all the other remaining votes want to raise it to high? The voting should stay open until Billy gets ready to do the rollover.Hammerin' Hank wrote:Looks like we are keeping it normal. Lets close the voting and move on.

Re: Scouting Accuracy Poll
We use the 2/3 vote when stated in original poll, so all others were majority rules.....so I thought. We need to make this rule for all polls, whether it's 2/3 or majority to eliminate all confusion.Seeitsaveit13 wrote:Still wouldn't pass the % needed I don't believe.GeorgesGoons wrote:What if all the other remaining votes want to raise it to high?
