Re: NBA Thread
What I learned through all of this is how terrible the sports journalism is currently (we already knew it was bad). The amount of miss information, sources, and click bait during all of this is/was beyond ludicrous.

This basically applies to all media. That's the world we live in now.

what's even more crazy is to listen to chats I over hear at work and people believe everything they read. I follow shel on twitter and he has been lambasting some dork on there about being off on all his sources, its quite entertaining.ReignOnU wrote:packsyd2284 wrote:What I learned through all of this is how terrible the sports journalism is currently (we already knew it was bad). The funny thing is, and you can vouch for me since you follow me, I rarely tweet much and my Twitter persona is 100% different than on here. I just mostly use Twitter to catch up on news, sports or non-sports.packsyd2284 wrote:I follow shel on twitter and he has been lambasting some dork on there about being off on all his sources, its quite entertaining.
But that dude irked me for some reason, so I had to go at him...but unfortunately thousands of others did as well so I doubt he ever saw my tweets.

I have been watching you for a few days give it to him.
As packsy said, it is quite entertaining.

Re: NBA Thread
Conversations at work vs. Facebook reposts... that's a tough one. I don't really do the Facebook posting thing much, but browsing through the stupidity is definitely worthy of keeping an account. It's a solid hour or 2 of entertainment each week.packsyd2284 wrote:what's even more crazy is to listen to chats I over hear at work and people believe everything they read. My question is though.......who the hell was he too begin with? Like what agency or network does he work for?shel311 wrote:The funny thing is, and you can vouch for me since you follow me, I rarely tweet much and my Twitter persona is 100% different than on here. Re: NBA Thread
Basically, he's from Beverly Hills so he said he's always ran into tons of famous people, including NBA players. He got really into the whole thing and basically started stalking hanging out around hotels and getting in good with folks who worked at these hotels. And at one point, he somehow used that to break a story on Dwight Howard's free agency when he was 17. He doesn't work for anyone now, I think he's in college or something, he just does this as a side hustle.
All that is pretty cool, don't get me wrong. Only issue it seems is that he acts like he's 22 and gets real emotional at times, so that's likely one of the reasons why his name was really thrown around a lot during this Kawhi thing on NBA Twitter.
