I watch zero to very little college baseball, so no idea how accurate they are but the comps for the Phils 1st rounder out of UNLV were Brandon Crawford, Nick Madrigal, and Alex Bregman... Not bad
Phillies fans trying to take credit for drafting Crawford even tho the Giants drafted him out of UCLA?
Huh
The Phillies never drafted Brandon Crawford, the Giants did out of UCLA

I honestly have no clue how after two tries you still managed to get that from my post. They didn't draft Nick Madrigal or Alex Bregman either.

The Phillies drafted Byrson Stott, out of UNLV, in the first round of the 2019 MLB Draft. Based on his position, physical measurements, and tools scouts have said he most closely matches the aforementioned current MLBers

Makes a lot more sense now. Thought you were saying the Phils have had a good history of drafting good SS's.

There was a video showing how the crowd jumped on the dude and beat the shit out of him.
Then someone stopped the crowd from basically killing him cause they want the cops to have him and they want him to talk to find out what he was doing.

Someone else reported the bullet was meant for someone else too, so I guess we will find out more over time.

I was wondering about the videos showing the alleged shooter being beaten and why his shirt didn't seem to match the shooter in the video.

The article on ESPN says it was a 2 man job with 2 guys on a motorcycle, and the dude getting beat was not the shooter, but the motorcycle driver.

Both are in custody.

Yep, that is supposedly the driver of the getaway motorcycle, not the shooter from what I gather.

fantasy baseball help.. in our league we have where u can keep "rookies" for a 7th (12th after keepers).. so ive been offered

V Robles
L Severino
F. Montas
Casey MIze (he'd be my "rookie")

for

Jose Berrios

looking at dynasty rankings, Severino is higher than Berrios and Robles is 50th to Berrios #49. But I also dont watch baseball and Berrios is having an insane yr. Also this Mize character was #1 pick last yr and looks like the real deal.

Would u guys do it?

Sox and Yankees playing in London this weekend.

Yankees score 6 in top of the 1st, Sox score 6 in the bottom of the 1st. Took over an hour for the 1st inning.

Welcome to American baseball chaps!

Seems like just a bad year to me. Certainly overperformed the last 2 years, but I'd say his real value is between his height and what he's currently at. If you can get him closer to his current price tag versus what he would have cost you to start the year, I'd go for it.

Deferred payments are MLB commonplace.

A few highlights from a great Twitter thread:
  • The Braves paying Bruce Sutter $1.12 million per year through 2021. He last played for the team in 1988.
The Orioles paying Chris Davis, who was arguably given the worst contract in baseball history, $3.5 million annually from 2023 through 2032 and $1.4 million annually from 2033 through 2037
The Reds paying Ken Griffey Jr. $3.59 million per year from 2009 through 2024
The Orioles paying Alex Cobb $1.8 million per year from 2023 through 2032
The Blue Jays paying Troy Tulowitzki 10 installments at 3 percent interest from 2025 through 2034 from his 2019 salary of $5 million
The Nationals paying Stephen Strasburg $10 million per year from 2024 through 2030
The Cardinals paying Matt Holliday $1.4 million every year from 2020 through 2029
