Sheltown has 11 Very Popular or better players, Washington 12. Obviously other factors play into it but those are the two highest totals league wide at first glance. The WS winner and then one of the all time great franchises seemed locks to me. Monday musings that's all

Rotation talk on Opening Day Eve?

Boston certainly has the best 5 man rotation in the entire game with how deep they are with Kikuchi as the #5.

But here's the top 4 SPs(playoff rotations) for BOS/SHL/RICH based on average stuff/movement/control of each of the 3 teams:

SHL - 86.5/63.75/73.25
BOS - 94.5/65.5/63.75
RICH - 95.25/61.75/63.75

I’ve always taken stuff and movement at a much higher priority in this game for what it’s worth. We’ve seen multiple guys succeed with average to sub par control but guys with low stuff or movement suffer more.

Just Boston’s philosophy, right or wrong.

Without running any numbers, looking at page 1(top 19) SPs in WAR last season, there seems to be a mix of all 3 types of ratings.


I will say, the top 6 SPs in the entire NDL by WAR all come from BOS and SHl. 4 for BOS, 2 for SHL.
