2055 Season Thread... Sick of these Massholes

i just threw random #s together. nothing too in depth but like, avgd a players # vs the avg of the top 50ish all time PAs in NDLB. and Bob Kelley is roughly the 16th best hitter ever so he should get in.

likewise, Nicholson is 7th all time and didnt get in.

Voters are funny.

I'm convinced Nicholson has been black-balled. He must have slept his way through the Writers Association's Wives Club during his time in the league.

All playoff teams were at 25, thanks. I ran a 1 day sim and we are at playoff day. I did upload a new file but I do not plan on pulling exports unless you have something urgent. If so inform me and I will just pull yours.

For playoff teams, send me a PM for what you want your ticket prices set to.... NOT ON SLACK. You will also have a chance to tell me before we begin playoffs in the chat. Link will be posted around 30 minutes before we start so if you are a 1st round team feel free to get on early and we can get everything set and start quickly and on time.

I feel like Live Playoffs have lost their luster and we should sim them like we do the season. 1 week=1 day. New file, make changes, export. Next week, etc etc.

It seems at this point many guys are more looking forward to the offseason.

i think 18 guys feel that. i enjoy the live playoffs and following the games as they go, even getting swept was enjoyable

The commissioner can live broadcast them just by using the live sim option in the game. We can then all watch, then he can put out a new file and do it again the next day for a sim.

Live playoffs = 1 night to finish, offseason starts sooner.

Your suggestions = 3 nights to finish (maybe 4?), offseason starts later.

They weren't a hand in hand solution to get to the offseason faster but more of a middle ground so guys could at least make changes and also move towards the offseason and not have to miss their entire season in 1 night if they cant make it...ala Joe complaints.

I still like Live Playoffs. Starting at 6 pm PST is acceptable - but I can't recall if we used to start earlier.

When it was just me and Billy near the end of last year I could feel the pain in his button clicks as he was eliminated and had to watch the Boston train.

For me, in the past, it was more of a lack of effort to find a common time to maximize participation. We have 12 teams in the playoffs and if 4 guys couldn't make the first night but the other 8 wanted to go it was full steam ahead even if all 12 were free after waiting a night.

I get that people want to move forward but to me it was always (somewhat) a lack of trying to be accommodating to the most possible people within reason. We spend 5-6 weeks running a season and couldn't wait one extra day for everyone to participate (sometimes) - just felt like it was a disservice to some people that are active all season long and don't get to enjoy the finale with everyone else.

Again, within reason - sometimes you can't get all 12 guys. But getting as many as possible on whatever day in a 3 day window seemed reasonable (to me).

Live playoffs is great as long as all the teams are ready to roll. Last few seasons playoffs have been pretty quick overall.
