New Indy Owner
New Indy Owner
Hey guys,
My name is John. I am taking over the Indy franchise. I have plans to move it in the offseason to New Jersey. I am a vet of these online leagues, having joined my first one with v6.5. I usually don't do scouting leagues but was looking for something different.
Anyways, I am sure we will talk soon..

Welcome aboard guy
Re: New Indy Owner
I can't believe there is a new guy post and nobody gave him the typical warning we get in these intros. Maybe the draft is distracting everyone.

Also, seeing "wdoupis" in green is just.....icky.
Re: New Indy Owner
Well that was definitely one of them but I was thinking about the warning of trading with a certain fella. John is not a newbie though so he should be good.The_Niddler wrote:Don't fuck this up!
There.

This used to be a nice place where you could take the kids. Welcome!
Dave mentioned a core group, which got me thinking. Some of us have been around for nearly 15 years now, crazy. Dave has gone from banging pornstars to being Mr Mom, unbelievable.

I joined right after my Korea tour, so that would have been 2006
And an oldie but goodie...as JeffDaddy would say, "welcome, don't fuck this up!"

Makes me wonder. What did all you single guys tell your girlfriends and future wives what you did when we were still playing on the PS2

Re: New Indy Owner
Hahaha yeah, that was fun. When I joined the league, I was a sophomore in high school I think, maybe even a freshman. I had been dating my now wife for under a year at that point. Didn't want her thinking I was too dorky, so I decided not to tell her about my gaming habits initially. Years passed, and next thing I know we're like 5 plus years into this league and I kept her in the dark, a closet NDLer so to speak.
The NDL convention was getting planned, and some were asking what to tell the spouses, and I mentioned that she still didn't know. At that point it became a personal contest with myself to see how long I could stretch it out. Couple years later she found out (forget exactly how, maybe caught me writing a post game recap or something) and called me a moron
I do remember Trendon saying that he was telling his family that he was just going to Vegas with a bunch of old hockey buddies

I have and still call it my fantasy football/now baseball league.
Most understand that and judge less than video games.

I call it my fake baseball league. My wife supported me fully and even bought me a Caucasians shirt.
