Re: NFL Thread
That Shazier injury is probably the scariest injury I've ever seen, it's up there.
Certainly not the initial hit but his reaction, does not look good.

Re: NFL Thread
I saw that on sportscener this morning and I felt queezy watching him call the trainers over. I am with you, it's surprising that more of these types of injuries don't happen more often. You are talking a matter of inches in tackling form that can cause more of these injuries.DRiccio21 wrote:they say he's improving. thank god. i legit started getting angry that i watch football during that game. its shocking guys don't die more often on the field. some of those hits last night were ruthless.
The one thing I love about football is the controlled violence with these men. Nonsense crap like what Gronk did is inexcusable. 1 game suspension is even worse, this happening only once in his career had to play into the length of suspension. But a move like that should be at least 2 games, play was dead and he slammed his elbow into the back of the guys head (causing a concussion). I have a feeling if this was Pac-Man it would have been a 4 game suspension at the least

Re: NFL Thread
You play football, you get hurt.
You have to expect a level of risk involved with the occupation you have chosen. He was at fault for the risk and his own injury based on his form and technique. I feel for the guy and hope he makes a full recovery but again, he chose his profession and he also made the error himself.
Unpopular opinion, but have at it.

Re: NFL Thread
Risky opinion to say the least. That's why I said it's a matter of inches. These guys are moving fast and what was thought to be good form for the tackled (in this case) could end up being bad form if the receiver makes a slight adjustment at the last second. But yes, they chose their profession and know the risks. Just like I know that I could be rolling the dice by constant deploymentsCnasty wrote:You play football, you get hurt.

Re: NFL Thread
My comment wasn’t directed to anyone here or anyone at all. Just my opinion on it.
Re: NFL Thread
i didn't mean i got enjoyment out of hits like that, i physically cringe when i see them. the hit on AB in the endzone made me change the channel so i didnt have to see a replay of it.GeorgesGoons wrote:That's just human nature. i meant i get enjoyment out of the game itself.
at some point watching these dudes kill themselves for our entertainment is a morale decision we make. maybe i'm being dramatic but thats where my mind went last night when i saw those hits. the JuJu hit, the Shazier hit, the AB hit. just nonsense stuff

So Smith-Shuster and the dude who hit Antonio Brown got the same suspension as Gronk?

Just dumb. Gronk should be out at least 2 games

Re: NFL Thread
guess who has JuJu and Gronk on their fantasy team going into the playoffs?
Re: NFL Thread
#Chargers CB Casey Hayward said on @SiriusXMNFL that #Browns WR Josh Gordon has been his toughest matchup all year. Hayward has faced Odell Beckham Jr., Dez Bryant, Brandin Cooks, Demaryius Thomas, Michael Crabtree, Tyreek Hill, and Alshon Jeffery all his season.

I’d imagine so. Fresh legs coming off a 2 year bye

NFL commissioner Goodell's new 5-year contract worth up to $200 mln, but nearly 90 percent of compensation tied to meeting financial targets and other incentives.
According to Fox News his salary is $3.6m with incentives that could reach $40+m per year.
Is Master P his agent?
