Technical Savey guys (router/modem issues)
So I run a BEC 8800N router/modem, it's supplied by my cable company. I am trying to play COD WWII. Some how the NAT type needs to basically be turned off. But when i go into the settings via IP/Browser, and turn off NAT, it just stops my internet from working. I can connect to all other games, just had problems with the last 2 sets of COD. ACTIVISION doesn't have a phone number, so they are zero help, i have posted on their boards with no help, My internet company has esculated a ticket to tier 2 support.....like 4 days ago, so I am sure they just are avoiding it. I live in a smaller town, so I have no other options. Could I get a router and plug it into the modem, or would it still revert to the original modem for settings. IDK what to do haha.

Only way you can add a router is if you put the BEC 8800N in bridge mode. You cannot have 2 items with DHCP turned on.
If you want to add a router, ask your internet company how to put their router in bridge mode, but it may not support it.
I can't find anything online for setting it to bridge mode. Bridge mode turns off DHCP allowing you to add your own router.
In the modem, on the UPnP screen, make sure this is checked so it is on.
You will want to give your PS4 a static IP address. This is a must for port forwarding.
You can try opening ports for COD:
On the PS4, it looks like COD uses TCP Ports: 80, 443, 1935, 3478-3480, UDP ports: 3478-3479
Looks like it may be similar to this other BEC router:

The other option is ask them for just a modem without a router built in and then put in your own router. I bought my own modem from Amazon and verified with Comcast that it would work with their service, then I added my own router.
The router supports quality of service, so we may be able to do something there too, but start with the port forwarding and see if that opens it up for you.
