I was watching Lisa Ling's show on CNN the other night.

Senior in HS who was 17 had sex with a freshman who was 14. Wisconsin law states you are an adult at 17. He was charged and convicted of forcible sexual assault on a child. He could have gotten 40 years in prison and would have had to register as a sex offender for life. He was given 2 years probation and not required to register unless he breaks the conditions of his probation.

I had a talk with my boy yesterday regarding this. He pretty much said bitches be crazy, they could consent and have "buyers remorse" and you can go down for rape. Glad he is suspicious enough to keep his boys in the pants for now. I just told him to make sure it's with someone he's been with for a long time before going down that road

Going back to the check writing question I realized I may write, with a pen or pencil, 10 words a week if not less than that.

My son comes home with handwriting and spelling assignments and he writes better than me.

I take tons of written notes at work. Do you only take notes on a computer or tablet in meetings at work - or as the boss do you guys talk and other people are writing stuff down?

If there is something that I truly need to notate and refer back to, I will email myself from my phone as I use my email as my worklist if you will. Other than that I have a fantastic work memory in things I need to remember from meetings. Out of work memory, pfffffffff. I couldn't tell you what I ate for dinner last night.

Its not a good look though as the rest of the room has notebooks and writing feverishly and here I am with nothing in front of me and my steel trap mind remembering everything while adding to the conversation.

Owned a Surface Pro 3 and an iPad Pro and thought it was going to revolutionize my career and note taking!!

Returned both within 2 days.

Nothing against the device and OneNote but I just can't take notes.

No idea how I got through college let alone this far in life.

I hate notes... but dealing with numbers and specific execution directions, I don't have a choice. I go through at least 2 full pages per day.

I had to call DCS a couple weeks ago because an 18 year old senior was fingerbanging his 14 year old freshman girlfriend on the bus. In my mind I was like “They’re two teenage high school kids” but legally I’m obligated to make the call to DCS and the police or I lose a my job. The girl’s dad tried to press charges but the cops cited Indiana’s “Romeo and Juliet” Law which in layman’s terms is basically “Have some common sense fucktards, they’re kids”.

Then this week I had to call DCS and the state police cybercrime division because a 16 year sophomore secretly recorded himself banging a 14 year old girl. He was showing it to people and texting and snapchatting it to people. He has been charged with producing, disseminating, and possessing child porn.

I have a 6 month old daughter, this does not put my mind at ease.

None of that puts me at ease. Teaching my son the right ways and not getting peer pressured. Protecting a girl from situations out of your control.

Just count on your parenting and showing them the way and not protecting and coddling them from the real world. Do your best!
