NFL Thread
Re: NFL Thread
I don't know, let me look for a poll.
I think it's very positive but unfortunately instead of talking about why they protest the people against it have directed the conversation down a different path.

Re: NFL Thread
Seems a bit hypocritical to call me out for providing no data(when I did, you just rejected it) while you provided no data either at every turn with every response to any question I ask, no?dakshdar wrote:I don't know
Re: NFL Thread
I don't think I said you provided no data. We agree that poll data may not be reliable and that's what you provided.
It's nice that the solution to a protest about the mistreatment of a group of people isn't to talk about the reasons behind it but to just stop it because it's hurting the bottom line. Screw the people they're protesting for.

I think it's safe to say we all know that polls can be manipulated to get the results you want. Right?!?
And honestly, this hasn't been one a widespread issue amongst NFL players until Trump said something. After his tweet you saw a massive increase in participation in the "protest." It's in quotes because I don't think everyone is protesting police brutality as much as they are protesting Trump.
I still think it's insensitive to do it during the national anthem. Do it during the coin flip or something. But according to Nick that makes me white trash because I don't see the timing of the protest as a positive for the league, or the cause

Re: NFL Thread
I think players escalated it because Trump escalated it first. He's great at that.
I understand your viewpoint, but people wouldn't care if their protest was during the coin flip. I think tying a protest for what they see as a national issue to the national anthem is appropriate, but that's just me.

I'm picking up what you are putting down. Putting my feelings aside, I just don't agree with it during the national anthem, but I can agree with the logic.dakshdar wrote:I think players escalated it because Trump escalated it first. He's great at that.

Those bullshit bend but don't break defensive schemes were like torture. It's wise like bleeding out, every time they were on defense. The team is likely going to get toasted on some of these crazy blitz schemes this year, but it's way more exciting to see them attacking. It also helps that there are a few significant talent upgrades.
The offense is taking some similar steps as well. A lot less I form rushes and short routes. Hue is starting to open up the playbook like he did in Cincinnati. The offense has a long way to go though. Corey Coleman is the only playmaking WR. I'm not a fan of Britt or the other WRs. The TEs have huge upside, but right now they are too raw.
I'm hoping that they give Kizer the keys and let him work it out. I think he's mentally ready for the challenge and I don't see a scenario like other young QBs that have been murdered and basically ruined because the OL struggled. He seems like he's learning from his mistakes during the game, which is great.
Successful season:
6 wins, a few close losses, no major injuries, Kizer gets a lot of playing time and develops and defense finishes top 20.
Great season:
7 wins, 1 of the 2 TEs really emerge into a higher level player, and the defense gets close to top 10.

They did. Perfect pass by Brees. Saints received caught it, but the defender made a great play to get his hands on it as they went down and wrestled it away.Seeitsaveit13 wrote:Saints may have just turned the ball over... for the first time... all year.
What?
I do not understand what has gotten into the Saints D the past 3 weekends. It makes no sense how good they've played.

Wow, that looked like the Jets were robbed of that in so many ways. Maybe not a TD, but should have at least still been their ball.

Did you not watch the video of the veteran that told Kaep to kneel and why?
He is kneeling because a veteran told him that is what soldiers do at the tomb to respect their fallen.
