Ahhh, so maybe even more people are not watching because of anthem protesting.

No reason to assume it's flawed in the direction you want it to be. It could be in the opposite direction. But nonetheless, you seem to have made your narrative and are now trying to find evidence to support it, as opposed to using the evidence to help you form your narrative. :)

Again, if you started a political protest every day you worked at your job, you don't think your employer would take exception to that? Especially when the data(that you reject, I get it) states it is having an adverse effect on your company...you think they'll just say ho hum, you can keep doing your thing?

16 million people watch and you think 800 (400 die hard fans) is a good sample size???

An institute on sports polls does. You know better than them?

FWIW, 16million people and a 3.8% margin of error, the suggested sample size is 665.

So...

Yes, always question "data" and assume it is most likely wrong in one direction or the other. I agree.

If my political protest at work each involved me taking a knee outside the building for 2 minutes before I walked in the door, I don't think my employer would even notice. My job is engineering, it isn't impacted by the "pre-game". Their job is football. If the owners want to expand the players' job to include swearing fealty to a flag then they should amend their corporate bylaws. But, pissing off a large portion of your employees and then asking them to go out and win you football games... great plan! I see company leadership here do plenty of bad things that pisses people off. It leads to apathy and poor performance before anything else. That affects the bottom line as well.

Polls are giant horseshit. It's also lunacy that (and I don't know if he has) Trump points to polls to make his point here yet he's spent a year talking about how polls about the election were terribly wrong.

An institute for polls is like people making up shit to talk about polls that make up shit.

And yet you still have provided zero data to show that the anthem issue has not led to people watching less.

Unions protest all the time and make their companies look bad and nothing happens. Usually they get raises.

also youve provided zero data that any actual dollars and cents have been lost from white trash losers not watching anymore. None. zilch. a pathetic poll and nothing more. Youve provided no data to show how many people watched yearly.. how many people watch cable.. the cable disconnection rate of the young generation.. the impact of rule changes effecting viewership. Literally nothing.

1 million less people watch football this year.. you think ONLY 1 million people disconnected their cable services this last yr with the internet and streaming? Do you even understand that illegal streaming sites dominate viewership in which they have NO way of collecting the data?: course you dont

also youre aware football is at its worst ever right? CTE is huge right now. The spread college football game is not creating enough NFL caliber QBs that about 10 of them suck in the NFL. you dont think that has to do with ratings/ The fact that every thursday game minus SF-LA was a snoozefest? Thats the big deal. I cant even name 5 people who kneeled during the protest. couldnt give 2 fucks. i dont care about your stupid flag. I care about the 60 min football game.

Says the guy who posted a poll right before I did.

Well, I have. And even if we assume I haven't, then I've provided the exact same amount of data that you have for your side, so there's that.

Some see all of this as negative, some see it as positive.

People will always spin it how they want. Therefore every action is positive and negative, so we must not act because some people will find it to be negative. Problem solved!

1. Is anyone saying it's a positive right now, currently? And if so, surely you're not insinuating the chatter in regards to positive vs negative is anywhere near 50/50, are you?

And when more people spin something as negative and the press is overwhelmingly negative(it is, not sure why you'd even try to deny that) for a company, that company will usually go into damage control to ensure said thing that is causing negative press to stop causing negative press. What I'm saying isn't even controversial, it's what companies do. It's almost like you're arguing companies don't care or try to get rid of negative publicity, no?
